Elevated Grounds Coffee Shop

Casual comfortable place to eat. They have air conditioned indoor dining, an outdoor patio, and right off the Chief Ladiga bike/walk trail. The food was excellent, we had the summer salad, and a sausage/bacon croissant. A wide selection of baked goods are available too. Nice place! Bike rental and free tire air right next door.

What a gem 💎! From the welcoming atmosphere, the decor, the friendly staff and amazing food and coffee… what more could you ask for?? Oh wait, a boutique? They have it! Supplies for the biker/hiker? You guessed it… they have it! Jewelry? Did you even need to ponder..? They have it! On top of all those extras, this shop is locally owned and operated and committed to improving the community it serves! Go check it out! Don’t tell them I sent you because it won’t get you a discount or anything 😆

The coffee is excellent at this little coffee shop. My husband and I enjoyed our time at this gem on the Chief Ladiga Trail and in downtown Piedmont, AL. Not only do they have coffee, they also do wraps, bowls, sandwich’s, bakery items, and smoothies. They will shuttle bikers and offer bicycle repair parts in there store. While you are in their shop you can fill your water bottle or borrow their air pump for free. They also have outside seating in front of their store and in a garden area. If you are riding the Chief Ladiga Trail this little shop is a must stop.

Having spent a tenured lifetime living and traveling on three continents, let me start by emphatically stating that Elevated Grounds is more than a coffee shop. It is an authentic café. Nestled in the quaint town of Piedmont, I have made numerous, and now regular visits to this establishment, as I frequently travel between Tennessee and Georgia. The coffee is stellar. Their salads and sandwiches are far above par. Standouts are the BBQ sandwich and the Southwestern salad (that comes with an excellent homemade spicy dressing). Don't even get me started on their selection of desserts. Interior and exterior seating is offered to enjoy your beverage, food, and to watch the steady stream of satisfied clients from far and wide. It's worth noting that this is along the Silver Comet Trail. Many cyclists have made this a waypoint on their ride. And why not? Elevated Grounds stocks many products tailored to Comet cyclists. When in Piedmont, make this café your next favorite stopover. You'll be glad you did.

Wow! This was such a great find for lunch after riding on the Chief Latiga Trail this morning! Great sandwiches, coffee, pastry and ice cream!

Our foursome enjoyed several different items for lunch. Among our favorites: chicken panini, pasta salad, colada smoothies. Varied menu of sandwiches, paninis, desserts, coffees & smoothies. We enjoyed the crisp fall day eating nearby in the garden area.

Absolutely love this place. Great coffee, great food, and a very relaxing atmosphere. I always visit during my cycling 🚴‍♂️ rides.

Fantastic breakfast and lunch spot right off the Chief Ladiga trail in historic downtown Piedmont. Everyone was kind and friendly, and the sandwiches, scones, and coffees we had were delicious. They also have a shuttle service for hikers and bikers. If we’re ever back in the area, we’ll definitely be returning to EG Coffee!

Really great place with excellent coffee and food. The breakfast bowl was delicious. The Gracelyn iced latte was wonderful. They also have lots of hiker and biker supplies, including bike repair gear. Overall, I highly recommend stopping here. You won’t be disappointed.

Literally saved our vacation with their bike shuttle service. We broke down in the middle of nowhere, owner came, picked us up, took us to town and got our bike fixed. All while we enjoyed a nice meal at their awesome little cafe. Awesome place to stop for bikers on trail, super friendly nice vibe. Highly recommend.
