Had the most fabulous lunch when passing through today. The sandwiches were over top delicious, stacked high with quality meats, cheese and produce. Service was friendly and fast. Thanks for saving our accidental detour!! Marc and Michelle

Best darn biscuits & gravy I've ever had in my life!!! I was camping at Lyman Lake and had spotted this place on the google machine; the pictures and reviews looked great so I figured I would skip making my own breakfast and eat here. The owners and service were friendly and the food was just amazing! When I walked in, every table was full but the lady behind the counter told me one of the local and regular customers was waving at me to come sit with him - so I did. I spent my morning chatting with and getting to know this awesome retired U.S. Army veteran and eating one the best meals of my life. I love how it was just a normal part of the place that a stranger passing through town should just sit down, relax, and enjoy some conversation with one of the locals! If I'm ever within 100 miles of Saint Johns, I will be detouring back to the Village Cafe!

I took my sons to lunch, they ordered Margherita flat bread pizza and I had the lunch special. Service was prompt, food delicious and atmosphere was cozy. We'll definitely visit again.

Really amazing skillet! The owner (I think) was super sweet. Delicious latte as well.

Quaint. Great breakfast. Water color art on walls. Expresso machine for your favorite drinks!. Had to love the outdoor tables too. Two outdoor tables centered on main Street. Convenient on street parking. I look

Their breakfast food was fantastic. It was a nice little shop and we enjoyed our experience. Got the frittata and it was perfectly cooked. Crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside with plenty of veggies and meat. Absolutely loved it. Wife got the biscuits and gravy and that was a tad pepper-y but still very good. But wow was it a lot of biscuits and gravy (which is awesome). It came in a bowl if that’s any indication. Will definitely be coming back to try more items.

Delicious food, the spinach omelette has more spinach than egg and in my opinion it doesn't get better than that. Talk about a protein filled start to your day! Will definitely be there again!

We are from Snowflake and come to St. John's off and on. Decided to try this local place out. Needless to say we will be repeat customers when we are in town. Very delicious food, friendly service, and reasonably priced for what you get. Mynkids loved this berry souffle, husband devoured his Reuben, and the chicken ceaser was great!! The smoothies are delicious too. Give this place a try you won't be disappointed.

Chose the Village Cafe based upon the reviews. Owners personable enough. Portion size was ample on the 2 egg breakfast ($7.50) and enormous on the 2 biscuits and gravy ($7.00). We travel extensively for business. We make a point of shopping local businesses. I know they really rely on the business to keep the small communities alive. The 2 egg breakfast was okay. The bacon was hard and nearly burnt. The rest was exactly as ordered and tasted good was not as ample of servings I observedaround me. The 2 biscuits were served in a bowl. The biscuits were unlike any biscuit I have had or made. Very dense, heavy and didn't absorb the gravy. The favor was not a traditional "biscuit". They were however huge. The gravy was a creamy based gravy, yet tasted of savory herbs or something. The sausage seemed to taste like Italian sausage. While I was very hungry, I passed after half a biscuit and that was also sharing with my husband. In fairness the owner did ask if I was full or didn't like it. I replied that I was done (no sarcasm, just couldn't eat it. My stomach is rolling as I can't eat Italian sausage) I doubt we will return. We did not find value in comparison to price and flavor. Seems many locals love this location, so continued success.
