Let's start with the fact that the waitresses were some of the friendliest I've had in months. Very personable and charming. The restaurant looks cozy and clean. There are 4 tables, 6 booths, a table booth combo, and like 9 counter seats so it is very cozy by modern standards, which is nice. Unfortunately, the food I ordered tasted either canned or frozen. The chicken fried steak was about as good as Denny's but the gravy tasted like it came from a generic white can with "County Gravy" written on it in black writing. The potatoes were just fine. The over easy eggs were mixed with one medium and one hard.
In the end the friendly staff couldn't make up for boring poorly prepared food.

Lake Tahoe is missing their rustic little A-Frame restaurant. Set back along busy Auburn Blvd., this small, coffee shop has an unpretentious exterior. The woodsy interior is slightly worn, but clean, with a friendly staff and delicious food. It would be a shame to drive by and not stop in for a tasty meal.

It was a really great experience having to go there for the first time. The place felt as if you were in the woods, and you find yourself in a small village with this breakfast place. I respect it for being simple yet amazing. The service is very humble, and great to talk to. And the food, aw the food. Just so great

This place is old school awesome. Great basic breakfast, terrific waitstaff. The decor looks like the Flintstones owned a ski lodge. Very clean. Just an awesome breakfast joint.

Been coming here for many years. It never disappoints. Good Lil neighborhood breakfast spot with locals and friendly staff. Kudos to the waitress and her positive attitude and patient nature!

We love coming here for breakfast on rainy weekend mornings. The food is great and the waitresses are extremely friendly. Our kids love the hot chocolate and smiley face pancakes. So glad we found this little gem!

Will be a returning customer! The staff was lovely and the food delightful. We spent about $15/person including coffees. They treated us like we were already regulars. We were sat immediately at 10am on a Sunday. The food does take a while but they have a small kitchen. The atmosphere is cute and reminds you of a quaint Tahoe cabin. Very clean bathrooms as well.

The lodge is a local breakfast spot that we wanted to try out . It was a terrible experience. First they served the people next to us that came in after us . It took 30 mins to get out food and once we got our plate my husband only ordered eggs over a bed of potatoes. He had more eggs than potatoes. Not worth the money or time.

Lovely food, lovely cozy ambiance, lovely service, and reasonable prices. If you like old fashioned coffee shops, you will like this place! I highly recommend!

Lovely little hut, with great food, wonderful service, and an atmosphere that feels like you're in Lake Tahoe in the 1950's .
Very affordable menu items .
Overall, it's a great and memorable place
