We stopped here to see the One-Log House, not to visit the cafe or dispensary. Buy tickets ($2 per person) at the snack bar counter. Your ticket will have a code to enter the house. It's unstaffed, so you can take all the time you want. Note that this was built as an exhibit; I don't think anyone ever actually lived here. But we still found it really interesting and a worthwhile stop, partly because it's a mid-20th century time capsule.

I went into what I thought was the gift shop, it was next to log home, but it was actually a dispensary. I would never drive Hwy 101 again unless I had to. I wish I could of seen inside of log home, but have no idea where the code was, and I wasn't the only one.... another couple asked if I figured out how to get inside? But did see Grand father tree a little ways away. This place seemed like we were trespassing.

Definitely a unique experience. It's a 32 foot long log turned into a travel trailer, that found its new home in the redwood forest.

Really neat place, definitely worth the stop. They have a shop with snacks, drinks and a little deli. There's also a shop next door with all sorts of souvenirs and redwood carvings. Make sure to check out the grandfather tree!

Go into the dispensary and pay $2 to get the key code for the one log house. I think seeing it and getting to see the historic pictures is worth it. We were there 12/22 and the cafe and restrooms were closed

A good place to stop after partially driving north or south on 101. The gift shop has some cool wood carvings, and of course the Grandfather tree. Make sure to check out the backside of the tree. It is amazing to think the tree first grew around 400 AD!

It's $2 to see the log cabin. If you're employed it's worth it.

The rest of the place is unremarkable. They have a pot dispensary if you're in need.

Much of the old route 101 nostalgic charm had been remodeled and rebranded away. Pity.

What an awesome quick one stop shop and tour! They offer a small selection of food including hot sandwiches, an array of souvenirs (not marked with prices well), extremely cool log cabin to tour, and a dispensary carrying a small variety of delicious Humboldt county homegrown goods. The also had the penny press for the Redwoods :-) It's worth a $1 and 5min to do the log cabin walk through.

Well dispensary must be great! I say that because the sales people can not offer any information about many of the things they sell. Lots of wood carvings and the outside is carvings n set ups are gorgeous.

Lovely place to stop. Plenty of amazing things to look at. Gift shop, cafe, dispensary all in one.
