New in Turnpike Center, Lighthouse Coffee is a wonderful addition. It is well placed, adjacent to several neighborhoods, a shopping center, and San Marcos High School. It has a nice outdoor area, as well as a good indoor area. I had an iced coffee and their Avocado Toast. YUM! Crumbles of bacon, tomatoes, Sprouts, cheese, balsamic glaze, and Avocado on Toast. There is plenty of free parking.
Am going to edit once again in case anyone reads these.
As much as I enjoy some menu items I absolutely hate the yogurt or acci bowl. I thought I'd try it again as I loved the similar option at the closed Goleta Coffee.
Lighthouse version does not offer coconut cream at all but my objection is to the massive amount of yogurt with a bit of crunchy, very sweet granola and a bit of fruit. It's a very heavy, goopy dense creation even when ordered with a light amount of yogurt. I found it visually unappealing and unpleasant to eat. Wish they could do a granola bowl with in season organic fruits and if not coconut cream then at least say 1/4 or 1/3 cup of healthy (not loaded with sugar) topping of yogurt or acci and a better granola.
Will stick to things I like here and there are many.

Updating my review and adding stars. Enjoying yummy coffee drinks and great food now. Thank you for making the changes!
Love the avocado toast with an egg on top, PB banana and honey toast and their breakfast sandwich, they allow you to swap out the bacon for something else which is perfect!

Coffee seems good, so considered giving 3 stars. The reason for the low rating at this newest location is their breakfast sandwich which I've enjoyed for years but things have changed. Sandwich had to be thrown away. The eggs (were these even eggs?) rubbery with a strange unappetizing texture and enough salt to give anyone a health risk. Can't taste the coffee after trying the food. The sandwich with the rubbery egg substance fell apart on picking it up, even the cheese (is it really cheese?) could not hold it in place and I can't say a lot for the other ingredients. So sad. đ„
Please return to making delicious sandwiches!!!! One can get overprocessed, fast food all over, if desired. Not appreciated at a boutique coffeeshop. Think about organic, fresh, fun and delicious meals along with great drinks. If not I'll pass on this shop in favor of others.
The coffee and food are pretty good! Def love their blended drinks. Now why is this a 3/5, well the service is sometimes friendly and then other times quite dismissive. Just depends which team member you get, and that takes away from the experience. The wifi is not the best and will not always connect. The building itself may be why, but we also almost always loose cell reception quite often there. So how can you productively work with no wifi. It's new, it's pretty, it's cool, but consistent friendly service is a must and working internet would def help. đđœ
