Stop here earlier with a friend and if I could give more stars I would!!!
The atmosphere when you walk in is so welcoming! The decor is beautiful. Also the employees were friendly and made recommendations.
I got a Sugar free vanilla latte made with oat milk and a spinach and mushroom quiche. Both were AMAZING!!!
I will definitely be stopping here more often ☺️

Such a cool, quaint coffee shop with chill vibes, great decor, and organic coffee and tea drinks. Plenty of rooms and nooks for sitting inside or out, to chat with friends or hang out to work. Excellent location in downtown Monterey too.

What a beautiful little place! The service was amazing, so kind! We came back several times during our vacation. The matcha latte was excellent, their espresso was amazing as well. We bought a couple cute gifts as well that they offer at the cafe. Don't hesitate - you have to go!

Went for a wander and found this absolute gem! Probably the tastiest donut I’ve ever had and amazing drip coffee. I thought the prices were very good and will definitely be heading back there tomorrow. Love, love, love. 10/10 no notes.

I have an amazing experience every time I go to East Village Cafe. The people who own the place as well as the employees are the sweetest people on the planet! They are very generous, and always very kind and welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. You can just feel the good vibes in the air and can tell that they trult care about their customers. The have lots of tasty goodies (I personally like getting chamomile tea with soy milk and honey 😊). Be sure to check out their next door business as well, Maybe on Monday! Both are cute places in a lovely part of downtown Monterey. Thank you, guys, for going the extra mile!

Everytime I visit Monterey, I stop here for coffee. I ordered a coffee and they made me an americano and was possibly the best americano I've ever had. They have local art displayed on the walls and a variety of unique places to sit and study or chill with others. The ownership recently changed hands, but has maintained its quaint charm in the process.
If you are looking for an off-the-beaten-path, non-national-chain-type of coffee shop, East Village Cafe is the place to be.

I didn't know Chai could taste disgusting, like a medicine taste almost. Instant regret, never going back. My boyfriends mocha was bitter as well. Plants were pretty and healthy though so that's cool.

Excellent service, barista’s are really eager to help you with various food and coffee options.
Pastries were fresh and tasted really good. Cappuccino was perfect. Lot of vegan options as well.
