Went in at noon and the woman at the counter was incredibly rude and told me they were closed. Made an effort to make me feel awkward and bad for coming in when their hours on a Saturday are posted on the front door that they’re open until 2. Not impressed by how they treat customers, especially when food is pricey. That’s the last time I go there!

This place is outstanding! If you're nearby or passing through & looking for food, look no further.
We were passing through on business & decided to stop for lunch based on the reviews. So glad we did. It's a super friendly crew & everything seems hand made right down to the buns. You can really taste the love put into cooking this delicious food.
We had the sunflower burger (spicy) w/the Graham cracker fluff as well as a BLT w/tomato cucumber salad. Everything was great! No problems at all.
It looks... Interesting shall we say?.. when you pull up but once inside it feels like home only with more tables.
Highly recommended. A+

I love this place! The food is so delicious wether you eat in or order to go. The owners and staff are always very friendly and respectful. They take the term family owned to a new level, when you come here they treat and feed you like family. Everyone here is so awesome! One of the best places in Monte Vista.

One of the best breakfast places in the San Luis Valley! Rhoda makes some great food and AMAZING pies, cinnamon rolls, pecan rolls, and maple rolls. I get the Sunflour Special for breakfast. It isn’t fancy, but it’s YUMMY and it’s hearty so it’ll keep you going all morning long! Great coffee and they use local ingredients, including Haefeli Honey from Del Norte, CO.
You’ll need to keep a close eye out for it....you might drive past if you’re not careful. About a mile out of town on 285 on your right side next to King Mountain Potatoes.
Stop here for breakfast...you won’t be disappointed!

My favorite cafe in Monte, easily. The food is incredible, made to order, and portions are large. I started ordering dessert first, so I still have room. Don't miss the pie. I don't even care for pie usually. THIS pie is worth every bite.

Ate lunch yesterday. Daily special was meatloaf and a serving of potatoes. The meatloaf was very, very sweet. The potatoes were just OK. The price of $12.48 for a luncheon special was a little salty. A drink and a piece of pie would have put it up to near $20.

Excellent food. Prepared fast, great service.
I ordered the $6 breakfast burrito expecting a simple, smaller sized breakfast burrito - nope - the burrito was absolutely huge, and delicious. I couldn’t believe how good it was for the price. Portions are more than generous and the food is very well prepared. Drinks were filled and never empty.
Highly recommend this place.

Delicious food! They have a freezer full of prepared food you can take home and cook. They also have amazing food on order. Small place, so don’t go here if you are in a hurry. I got the breakfast burrito and loved it!

Great breakfasts. Today I had a half order of sausage gravy smothering a egg cooked to order and sausage patty sitting on a made from scratch biscuit with great coffee! A hearty breakfast that will get you through a long day. We also got maple and pecan cinnamon rolls that were a treat later on.
