Eternal Coffee

I love this place, Desmond made me feel right at home, we had a very good conversation. The coffee was smooth and the muffin was warm and used real blueberries and lemon. If you’re in this area please stop by, you won’t regret it.

Update: Before I left Grand Rapids, I returned. I managed to get my entire family to visit with me. They all loved it. Paul was very nice too and gave us restaurant advice.

Perfect destination for locally roasted coffee and baked goods. Coffee, lattes, muffins, cinnamon rolls, quiche… everything I’ve had has been extremely good. The business owner goes above and beyond every time I’ve visited. In our conversations, I’ve had the pleasure of learning about his generosity and community service as well. He and his family are a perfect example of small businesses deserving of your patronage, especially over a chain cafe or starbucks. Do yourself a favor and stop in to Eternal Coffee.

This is a new favorite coffee stop! Great coffee and goodies to go with the coffee. We asked a couple questions and got a great run down on good coffee. They roast there own on site. Fun place. Stop in and try them out. If you beat the batista at chess, you get a free coffee!

I loved my first visit here! Eternal Coffee shares their space with a few other local businesses (Joe’s Brother Coffee, Cookie Chicks, and a baker). Together they provide great coffee and baked goods with their profits going to support good causes like the Susan Mast ALS Foundation, the special needs community (employment for Cookie Chicks) and refugees in South East Asia.

The iced latte and sweet bread I had were excellent. Best iced latte I’ve ever had. Definitely coming back again often!

I think this place is great, although it's got a new name. Three of us have been meeting there every week for a month, and we are never disappointed. The bakery goods are excellent and the prices are very fair! Talk to the owner there. The set-up is so interesting. There are multiple bakers working through her kitchen space.

My boyfriend and I decided to check out this place earlier today. After looking at all of the positive reviews, we were quite excited. However, there was an unpleasant odor immediately upon walking into the café, which smelled overwhelmingly of wet dog. We tried to ignore while we ordered by looking at the very cute and cohesive decor and furniture. Emma D. took our order. I'm not sure if it was an off-day or something, but it seemed she was irritated while we placed our order. After walking out with our coffee, we found they didn't taste anything like coffee — more like an iced steamer that possessed a vague vanilla flavor than an iced vanilla latte. My boyfriend didn't fair much better, as his tasted predominantly of cinnamon and milk as well. Perhaps we just came in on a bad day, but I'm not sure if we will come back.

I went and asked for a recommendation for a drink since I don't drink coffee and they helped find my new favorite drink! The Brown sugar Milk Tea! Amazing service and great drinks!

I always try to patronize a local shop before the chains.
Needed some coffee to sustain my 6 hour drive and the reviews were stellar.
My experience was not, however.
The espresso in my latte was weaker than 2nd use of grounds in a cheap drip maker. Even with an EXTRA shot and using half&half, my drink tasted only like warm milk.

My wife and I were looking for a new local coffee shop, we heard good things about Eternal. Good doesn’t begin to describe them! Paul helped us pick out some fresh muffins before making one of the best lattes we’ve had! The entire time, he was telling us about Eternal, their products and community outreach. The customer service is top notch and the food is amazing!!

Usually we go to a chain coffee place but this time we decided to stop at a local place to be more adventurous. We were greeted by Paul who was very informative about his coffee and very personable, he even gave us a history of the town and his love for coffee, how the store came about. We had a very pleasant time and great coffee- I had a latte that was excellent and my husband had a pour over black coffee. Once we mentioned our kids, Paul gave us a gift of locally baked cookies to take for them. Wishing all the luck and success to the young man Paul on his life journey and prosperous coffee business.
