I first heard of The Victorian Cafe about a year ago and have been wanting to visit for a long time. My dream finally came true yesterday when my friends and I stopped by for dinner on our way back to Ann Arbor from a trip to the UP. The inside of the cafe has just the right amount of warm lighting and is stylishly decorated with various antiques, shaping an environment that makes you feel as if you are living in the Victorian era. The bookshelf in the corner housed many interesting books the read through while relaxing here, reflecting the artistic sense of the owners. The staff here are incredibly friendly and efficient, providing me a pleasant ordering and dining experience. For food, I had a Reuben and a Victorian Club sandwich made with special Alward's bacon, both of which were delicious with crunchy bread on the outside and juicy meats and vegetables on the inside. To top it off, I had a refreshing blueberry milkshake made with fresh blueberries that complimented my meal.

Overall, The Victorian Cafe is one of the best cafes that I have ever been to in my life. My experience there could almost be described as "magical", almost as if I went on a trip to Narnia. I will definitely revisit anytime I have an opportunity to do so again.

I recently visited an amazing ice cream place with a great variety of flavors and toppings. The ice cream was creamy and delicious, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this spot to anyone with a sweet tooth.

Spent almost $13.00 on two medium hale storms, only a little dust of reeses cups in them, this use to be a great place to go, with consistent candy amounts. We drove out of our way to come here instead of Dairy Queen. Plus we waited in line for 20 min. Very disappointed overall, maybe a bad day or new emplyee... but a waste of money, might as well have order vanilla ice cream!!! Will not being going back, sad after years of being a loyal customer and spending alot of money here.

My husband comes here often, a lot of times without us. Lol. I had the club panini yesterday & today had the turkey bacon ranch panini & Manhattan Raspberry Chip Cheesecake ice cream for desert. And my son loves there smoothies.

Live in Hale for a couple of years and finally stopped in I'm so glad I did! Great friendly atmosphere and they were making waffle cones so it smelled wonderful. I was glad I knew what I wanted when I went in because I probably would still be there deciding what to get I ordered 2 Oreo Hale storms as I got one for my husband and we both thought they were great- plenty of oreos mixed in yummy. I was also offered a sample of a "Dole Whip" which is non-dairy and gluten free and I was a little worried about an after taste but it was delicious probably going to get that next time. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and it's just a great place thank you!🍦🍦🍦🍧🍧🍧🍨🍨🍨

As I was driving back to Ann Arbor from a trip to the UP, I was craving a quick bite to eat and stumbled upon this quaint gem of a cafe in the small town of Hale. After stepping inside, I was cordially embraced by the warm lighting and stylish interior. The rustic details of the environment transported me to the Victorian era itself. The friendly staff greeted me immediately, and when I saw the menu I was astounded by the plethora of choices, and a welcoming local assisted me by telling me their personal favorites, and I can assure you they had great taste. The Reuben was phenomenal, and the strawberry shake was sweet and savory. If you’re looking to support a local small business owner, look no further than the Victorian Cafe. I will make it a priority to stop by every time I go back up north!

Fantastic little place! Staff are warm and friendly, food and drinks taste great. Feels like a great place to unwind for a bit - never felt rushed, and there are little corners to relax in.
