Park Avenue Coffee - Cortex

Let me tell you something! This place has the best coffee, I get lavender with three shots and one pump of cinnamon, latte hot coffee! It is so delicious! The breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches, omg! The wait staff awesome! My daughter gets the cold coffee beverage and she absolutely loves this place! I love this place!

Great coffee, pretty good pasteries and desserts, and also pretty good sandwiches. For a coffee place inside of Cortex, it does a great job. Not long wait times and plenty of places to sit. Nice staff.

I recommend the carrot cake muffins and the turkey sandwich.

While the downtown location was where I was first introduced to Park Avenue, I think I’ve made myself a local at every location in the City at this point (though the OG Lafayette Square location is my fav)! The flavored drinks are yummy, but coffee is top-notch and flavorful enough to drink black. The food is always great & the portions are decent in comparison to other coffee shops, so you feel like you are getting your moneys worth. They are known for their variety of gooey butter cakes, but anything I’ve had there has been yummy!

My favorite part of Park Ave, though, is the people. The employees always make a point to remember your name (& order if you have a usual), and make you feel welcome.

Cool feel. The coffee was good, but maybe not quite as on par as the rest of the stuff in the area. I only tried the Sumatran though, and I don't like Sumatran coffees so I may be a bit biased.

Park Avenue Coffee brightened my day. My chai latte was perfect, and the lunch sandwich was very tasty and well prepared. The staff was kind. What more could you ask for?

Easy to access location where they made us a great Caramel Macchiato and Flat White.

The coffee was good, price was fair. Not as good as others but the orders come out quicker than the competition around the corner.

3 words: bacon cheddar scone. Amazing. This place known for gooey butter cake, which they always have, but the cafe items are all great. Staff is so nice and flexible. Nice area to sit and get work done, right on the corner of the building. Well lit, easy to find, with visitor and meter parking within 10 feet.

Coffee is ok.
Espresso isn't great.
Staff is hit or miss (and can be hard to find at times).
They are super expensive for what they have due to their location. And they up charge for almost everything you change. If you work in the Cortex and are in need of fast coffee and food then do it, but don't go out of your way for them.
Oh, and pretty much no vegetarian options for lunch other than a salad. They had a nice veggie sandwich but re-did their menu and now it's gone. Fail.
