Great overall experience at the Silver Cafe. The chicken wrap and chicken quesadilla were both really good. Try their home made ranch! The French fries were also good! Great stop for a bite when visiting Great Basin or Cathedral Gorge!!

Small town place where everyone seems to know everyone in town. My burger was delicious! I sat at the counter and the waitress kept my drink full.

The gas station guy recommended a stop here so that's how we ended up splitting a BLT and a basket of crispy onion rings in air conditioned and historical comfort.
The place is about what you would expect out here, your basic decent foods without any fancy fiddlefaddle or pretentiousness. The BLT was just like homemade, only with much better tasting tomato! Onion rings were fresh made, well seasoned and joyful. We slurped up our Mountain Dew sodas and felt like we'd hit the jackpot. A good meal break for the easy going traveler.

Stopped in for lunch this past Monday. Ordered a burger, onion rings and an ice tea. Everything was great. Some of the best onion rings I have ever had. Also fast and friendly service. I think that I beat the lunch rush that day.

We stopped in for breakfast and left stuffed. The food was excellent. My son said the biscuits and gravy was the best he has ever had. The place was packed so you know it is good. When we are in the area again, we plan on stopping in again. Service was also very good.

It’s the only place open on Sundays so we enjoyed not having to prepare our own lunch with things from the grocery store. The bacon was perfectly prepared and the hash browns were good too.

Definitely “historic”! You’ll be hard pressed to find a better fresh-made burger! Amazing fries and rings. The Double Club sandwich is not for the faint of heart. The owner, Doug, does not cut corners and makes sure you get a great meal for a fair price. Portions are huge and quite a variety of items to choose from.
Great and friendly staff!

We always go for breakfast here every year on December, kids love the pancake and we love the ham and cheese omelette! It’s clean and quite place!

My family and I have eaten at the HISTORIC SILVER CAFÉ four times over the past few weeks during our visit in Pioche, Nevada. My review will be based on our lunch on Mother’s Day, May 13, 2018.
There were 10 of us for our Mother’s Day lunch. And, we were delighted to be seated in the more private dining area just up a short ramp from the main dining area.
We were greeted cordially and allowed to be seated immediately. The restaurant is housed in an old building downtown Pioche, Nevada, a ghost town with life! Historic Silver Cafe is in no way fancy. It is a small town café atmosphere.
Our waitress was efficient and attentive. I ordered the taco salad with chicken. Amongst some of the other orders from our family were chicken wings, Reuben sandwiches, patty melt, hamburgers. We all ordered water to drink.
Of the 10 of us, nine of us were VERY satisfied we with our meals. However, the patty melt appeared to be a bit dry although tasty.
Our food was served basket-style. My taco salad had guacamole, sour cream and salsa on the side. It was very good and I actually went in the next day and had it for dinner. I was particularly impressed that according to their menu their salads are made from lettuces that are grown locally.
Overall, HISTORIC SILVER CAFE offers a small but varied menu from which to choose Including breakfast items as well as lunch and dinner. Prices seem reasonable, quantity and presentation are nice.
I will eat at the HISTORIC SILVER CAFÉ again.

There are few places to eat along the 200 mile drive from Las Vegas to Great Basin National Park so we were happy to find this one.
Clean, good hot food, and very friendly people. We had the meatball sub, and the pulled pork, both very nice. The hamburger basket at the next table over looked and smelled good too.
It is on business 93, not the main road, but only a few minutes out of the way and worth it.
