Cheffie's Cafe

I came to lunch on a Sunday instead of doing the normal “brunch” thing and this was a great decision! I love the open feel of this location and it was very clean and organized. That’s a plus since so much of the fresh items are in direct view to the customer. I really appreciated the time the staff member took to answer my questions because I don’t frequent Cheffies that often. I got the chicken Caesar salad and the Tuscan chicken sandwich. Delicious!!!! The weather was beautiful enough to enjoy the patio so I did! I’ll be back!

I've visited them several times before until now. I visited them today during my lunch, only to find this in my salad. When I called to inform them what I had bitten into, the young man tells me that's likely to happen. I'm like, "Uh...what do you mean that's likely to happen?" The kid proceeds to tell me, "Yea, so we get all of our foods "fresh" from manufacturers, pre-packaged, and its says they're pre-washed. Sometimes, there's pesticides, bugs, and roots in the packages, but that's on the manufacturers-not us." I told the kid, uh-that is on you all-you're a restaurant providing services to consumers! I said just because a package says it's pre-washed doesn't mean you shouldn't STILL wash your foods! That's nasty! Plus, I ordered my salad chopped, and you mean to tell me they didn't see or feel this large chunk of wood in my salad?!! He, then proceeds, "Well, you can bring it back and we'll make you another one. I don't know what to do in this situation." Uh...I need my money back after you told me ya'll don't wash your "fresh" foods. That's nasty!!

Looking for something a little healthy, this is the spot. Grabbed a Greek salad with chicken. They will shred it up for you as well. Great atmosphere to hang out. Place still looks brand new..will come back

So we finally made it to Cheffie's for lunch; and I wish we'd gotten here sooner. Walking in the door, we encountered a bright, airy environment. The air is fragrant with an appetizing mix of fresh produce, tangy dressing, and citrus. The staff was friendly, efficient, and tolerant of our corny jokes. The tables were clean, even after the post lunch rush at 1:15 p.m.

I love that Cheffie's offers to chop and dress your salad. They use just the right amount of dressing so the greens don't become a soggy mess; and the chop not only makes for easy eating but keeps the dressing splatter to a minimum. The portion is generous and pleasantly filling. I can't wait to return and try the grilled sandwiches.

The serving sizes for the cost are a little ridiculous. The fresh ingredients make it all taste good, but for the price, I just expect more to my sandwiches.

Among the many times that I have gone to this establishment, today’s experience was by far very unexpected. After being in line for well over 30 minutes, my order was prepared by someone who thought maybe I was feeding a child. I mentioned this, however nothing and no one corrected it. The order behind me being prepared, looked more like it was for an adult next to mine. I decided I didn’t want it. Later today I called and spoke with the manager and mentioned that the young woman who prepared my salad, had done this to me before. After speaking with him, I will give Cheffie’s another try, but I don’t like being treated like a second. hand citizen, and will not tolerate it in the future.

Very good, large portions for the salad (can’t speak to sandwiches). The chop & mix is a great option too. Prices are pretty much average to a bit pricier, but the salads are fresh and taste good. Clean & relatively quick service.

The service at this Cheffie’s is always hit or miss. Some of the workers are very nice and attentive, and some are definitely not. The worker who I have consistently noticed that has made my food on more than one occasion is Hannah. Her attitude is horrible. She is extremely passive aggressive and dismissive. When I came in, I had to basically walk down to where she was to tell her what I wanted. She also was trying to hand me my food when she clearly saw me paying at the counter on the card machine. When she saw my hands were occupied, she just dropped my bag of food on the counter. Then she goes “do you want a drink or no”? To which I said “nope”. But what really prompted me to write this review on her is that when I finished paying and took my card out of the machine, she didn’t even acknowledge me by saying thank you, have a nice day, nothing. She didn’t even make eye contact. It’s like she deliberately looked right passed me and immediately asked the man standing behind me “how can I help you”? Wow! I frequent this Cheffie’s often because it’s the one closest to where I live, but she has terrible customer service and it’s consistent. If she is the one at the counter, I will request someone else because I do not want someone servicing me who acts like she has some kind of chip on her shoulder every time I come in. Do better.

Great lunch spot! Counter service (subway/chipotle) sandwiches and salads. Everything seems really fresh. They menu has plenty of options but not so many that you stand staring at the wall forever. Everything is customizable. I always go for the toasted sandwich option. Take out or dine in with plenty of tables.
Great food spot in a nice part of town.

I’ve eaten here several times lately because I needed to meet friends. Service two times out of three was pretty bad but not the worst. Soup was SALTY AF. The chai was soooo sweet and was not chai, just some basic Starbucks bs syrup. It’s a nice spot with healthy choices so I won’t hate on it too much.
