First time at the Greater Goods Coffee Roaster and my experience was great! We ordered a hot latte and a brewed coffee - both were good and their latte art was impeccable.
We got to the coffee shop on a Saturday afternoon. It was super busy but we were able to find a seat and the wait time was not long at all although there was a line in front of the counter.
We spent about 2 hours in the store working in our laptop. It was comfy but sometimes it gets a little loud. Overall 4/5. Coffee 4/5. Interior 3/5.

Awesome spot! Roasting, great coffee, brewing gear, and even classes are offered here. I would highly recommend it. They serve the coffee on small boards and even give you mineral water to go with the espresso. Really nice touch and I’ll be sure to come back if I’m in the Austin area in the future.

The ambience is great and it’s an amazing cafe. I had their speciality pour over coffees - in my honest opinion it wasn’t the best.
They use pour over machines which could impact the taste of the coffee. I understand the need to be efficient behind the bar and while it justifies the core business need, it does not meet or match the customer experience and value that I would hope for from speciality coffee pour overs. I felt my coffees were under extracted and sour. Their milk based drinks are good though. I hope they start serving hand made pour overs so customers can fully experience all the amazing coffee they have.

So busy! I'd planned to sit an enjoy a cup of coffee "for here" but couldn't find a parking spot or a table, so instead I ordered our coffees to-go while my fiance waited in the car. I suppose that's a testament to the great coffee + pastries! I enjoyed both, and would make this my go-to spot if I were a local.

One of my favorite coffee places. I’m a little picky on my coffee and usually only like my hometown local shops, but this place was fantastic. I had the Vietnamese iced coffee (which was amazing) and Bourban latte. We tried some other drinks but can’t remember which ones. Everything was amazing and I strongly recommend going to try it.

Amazing espresso & coffee drinks + wonderful cafe! Natural light at this Greater Goods is amazing. Their bourbon latte and Vietnamese chicory iced coffee are my favorite.

Tried the Tahini Oat Mocha and Vietnamese Chicory Iced Coffee today and enjoyed them. Loved the interior of the cafe. Seatings all around and the open coffee bar in the middle. Seatings outdoors too. The only part that might need some improvement is how to manage the line (as they were busy all morning on a Thursday) as the line from the cashier goes all the way to the entrance door.
This is a local coffee roaster and cafe and I liked how their mission is for the greater good. Each coffee bean they use / roast has a story - check out their website and they donate part of your purchase to a local non profit, and I bought their limited edition to try at home.

Greater Goods are championing and nurturing the specialty coffee scene in Austin, which I hugely appreciate! They really care about coffee, and provide best in class specialty coffee, paying attention to detail at every aspect of the process, from reverse osmosis filtered water, to a wide range of SCA 80+ scored coffees from different regions and varietals, lightly roasted and served as pour overs, cold brews and a variety of espresso drinks. On top of all that, they have a dedicated training space to help educate the public (and their own baristas) on really smelling and tasting the differences between all of those amazing coffees, offering reasonably priced taste development classes and cupping exercises. Highly recommend for anyone who really wants to taste the flavours of specialty coffee!

Having been in ATX for a while, I can now say that Greater Goods is one of the top coffee spots in town. The espressos are well pulled and served with sparkling water (as it should), the lattes are not watery, and the non-coffee and decaf offerings (tea, matcha lattes, etc) are appreciated when not looking for a caffeine joint. Oh, and the interior/ambiance is top-notch, along with an outdoor patio area when it's not raining or too hot :)

Great place with a calm vibe. Lots of people working here in their laptops, so I’m guessing great WI-FI :) Their seasonal coffees are amazing! They also offer a variety of coffee-related classes in their “Training Lab”.
