The Olde World Bakery & Café

This café is absolutely worth a stop in Smithville. The atmosphere is charming and the customer service is top notch. My favorite thing to eat here is the breakfast skillet filled with sausage and veggies and the waffles! The staff is here very friendly. I highly recommend this establishment.

One of our favorites in and around Bastrop County. Great for breakfast, lunch, coffee or just meeting a friend. We love this place, the people and highly recommend. It’s a must try.

This place is a great gem! The biscuits and scones are so delicious and they have excellent coffee and tea also.

The first time I ate here...well, not here, but a lunch order for the office...I set my fork down and said "Where did ya'll order this from?"
Everyone said 'The Bakery" It's the Bakery to everyone in town, but Ole World Bakery is what it is. Everything is made from scratch...yea yea...so is the other guys. But wait, thus is scratch with a secret ingredient. What is it? Love? Magic? Who knows, but it's truly some of the best food I've had and I've a lot.

Delicious breakfast. I had the potato and onion omelet with homemade rye toast. Yum! Quaint, charming, smalltown atmosphere. Coffee was excellent. Servers. Owner and locals a delight. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Texas for the Round Top Antiques market in the spring.
