The Liberty Cafe

We have driven by this place so many times... either it wasn't open, or it just was not a good time to stop. So this trip it worked out and we stopped for a late breakfast. First off the place is a cool, throwback cafe with old memorabilia. No credit cards, cash only. The food was great, large yummy portions, and the menu has a good variety to choose from. All of this would be a 4-5 starts for me normally. However, the service was a negative. There were only a couple other customers in the place and the waitress was very irritated by something. Not welcoming at all.
We asked for a very simple substitution on the menu and we were rudely told no substitutions. That is totally fine, but rudeness is not. This could have become a regular stop for us as we drive by pretty frequently.... but I do not think we will stop again.

Blackberry pie & cinnamon roll were perfect!

This place is a hidden gem. Amazing service. Fresh food that was all handmade. I mean the cheeseburger was perfect. The bun was grilled, perfectly cooked bacon and well proportioned condiments. Plus, the handcut fries were perfectly crispy. They even had places for their regulars to store their mugs! I can't wait to stop here again.

Ordered a latte and Americano from the drive through espresso bar. WORST THING EVER GOT. Taste like dishwashing water. And milk in latte tastes sour as well. Saw that the grinded coffee was taken from a sketchy plastic jar when making the espresso

Amazing service and great food. Stopped for lunch and really enjoyed the sandwiches, soup and potato salad.

Passed by a bunch of times and finally stopped. Wished we didn’t. The food was sub par. The hash browns tasted bad because they were not cooked correctly.. too high of heat, so they were under done but burnt. No flavor , but burnt. The bacon was really greasy.. like old greasy, floppy not crisp. The toast was probably the only thing that wasn’t screwed up, had no butter that I could detect. Won’t be back.

We had breakfast. It was delicious. The people there are so warm and inviting. We will be stopping by again!
