My wife and I went for a cupping and tour and were very impressed! We have bought and loved kickapoo coffee before but now have a whole new understanding of not only what goes into making coffee but what it takes to get it. Jay and Alex were so cool and knowledgeable it didn't even seem like we were there for 2 hours. We could've asked questions for hours, Haha, never knew there was so much to making coffee.

We've done three roast and ship orders with them over the last month and could not be happier. They roast on Mondays and Wednesdays and then the beans are in our mailbox on Thursdays or Saturdays respectively. Everything is pointing to us being long term customers for the following reasons 1) Roast to order, fresh beans are critical to the best cup of coffee possible, 2) Several organic choices always available to order on with what appears to be new varieties coming in regularly, 3) Lightning fast delivery, how it gets from WI to VA so quick is really awesome. 4) Best tasting coffee we've had yet, Kickapoo are clearly expert bean buyers and roasters!

I take my coffee pretty seriously. I blame this on Melbourne Australia. That city has really made coffee an art form. When I moved back to the states, I struggled to find a variety of good coffee. I am lucky I live in San Diego, as they have some coffee roasters that do also take coffee seriously, but I'm always looking to expand my options. In order to get a sample of coffees from across the US, I joined a coffee subscription that sends me a different coffee every so many weeks called Trade. The second coffee they sent me was Kickapoo Coffee Roastery's Organic Congo Muungano, single origin, natural processed, coffee. This coffee was fantastic! Juicy and Bright is the summary description and that is right on! This was definitely roasted right. It had that taste of sunshine, not overpowered by the bitterness of an over-roast and not grassy at all as some under-roasted coffee can be. I wanted more of this coffe, but Trade didn't have any. I then checked the Kickapoo website. They had more!!! I ordered a kg and will be checking back in with this site to see what other varieties they may happen to have.
Bottom Line - These guys take coffee seriously and they handle the beans with expertise and care. I definitely recommend.

The ONLY coffee served at the Viroqua Heritage Inn B & B's in Viroqua. Just THE BEST! We love our guests and the coffee we serve them. After we introduce them to Kickapoo Coffee during one of our great breakfasts, I often see them making their own pot in our coffee pub. Most ask where to buy it locally.
Thank you, Kickapoo Coffee for a great product!

I got a bag of your single origin Peru La Palma beans via my Trade subscription and it is sooooooo good. And those beans are dense, too! For the same volume, they yield 29-30 grams when all my other bags have yielded 24-25 grams.

Excellent. My favorite coffee of the past 30 years of me drinking coffee of all kinds. The best!!
I hand grind my Supernova beans and do pourover method.

Awesome place to visit and get in depth knowledge about the process of making a perfect cup of coffee as well as the journey the beans take from farm to cup as well as the fair trade act and all the work that goes into each and every cup from start to finish!

I asked for one of the owners to recognize one of the workers on my trip to WI by calling and I was vastly taken back by the rude women on the phone that instantly said "" they arent here right now bu-bye" in a snotty tone and hung up on me !!!!! what kind of business answers the phone like that!!!! I resend my compliment because management isn't friendly what so ever and that in my opinion is very unprofessional. Their coffee is amazing there though. and the young man I ordered from went above and beyond for me. Even recommended what I should buy.
