Great coffee shop. I love the flavor of their coffee and they have very tasty pastries as well ! Very nice crew and very laid back and quiet. Ideal for reading, studying and conversing.

The batista was very nice and the pastries were fantastic!!! Asked for the baristas favorite drink and it tasted wonderful. Definitely gotta stop in and try their drinks

Their coffee is really good and the staff are always very kind. I have a health issue that keeps me from consuming caffeine and I appreciate how many decaf options they have!

Employees were super loud and personal while all the customers were quiet and using their personal devices. Tea was good though.

There aren't as many independent coffee shops on the West side as there are in other 'hoods around the Metro Phoenix area, and to the best of my knowledge, there are none with a "hipster" vibe quite like this one. If you are looking for food options, you won't find much here; just a very small pastry case that was all but empty the day I came in. And if you're looking for a wide spectrum of drink choices (such as might be found at a certain chain operation), look elsewhere. Union is a pretty bare-bones operation, from the industrial vibe and utilitarian seating, to the roaster that takes up a good chunk of floor space. The emphasis is on coffee, and cold brew coffee in particular. In fact, cold brew is the first thing on their menu. Union has a very limited selection of drinks compared to other coffee shops, but what they do, they do very, very well. I was very impressed with the iced cold brew I ordered, though the vibe of the shop didn't really encourage me to sit and stay awhile. Is the West Side ready to support a shop like this? I hope so. It's not my everyday scene, but it is nice to have an alternative to the corporate coffee chains and the indies with mediocre drinks and too much clutter and kitsch.

My first ever Affogato was here! Freshly scooped REAL ice cream with expresso poured over it! If you haven’t tried it yet you are really missing out. This restaurant is one of my wife and I’s get away from the six kids. The workers are always friendly and make you feel right at home. Perfectly setup for a good chat or a good read.
