Food was great! we went for breakfast and we loved it. country music playing very friendly place. Our waiter was nice she serves too much coffee but can't complain lol the only reason i didn't give 5 stars was because 10mins into getting our food the waiter brought the check it wasn't packed or anything so i felt weird about that but overall loved it.

Server was great, the food good but was unusually slow this time to arrive. After awhile of not receiving our orders, I looked into the kitchen and for some unknown reason, no cooks were visible. Noticed everyones food was late!!!

The Food is Wonderful here.
I was a little disappointed when I asked the waiter (young tall Hispanic guy) for a Booth instead of a Table because I have Lower back Pain and the Wooden chairs cause me pain.
A booth right next to my table had just opened up.
I was told that there was a waiting list so We wouldn't be able to get a booth.
Keep in mind this was after we had waited 20 min for a table.
We were still waiting for drinks at this time and did not order food yet. I did not appreciate his respond/service.

Coming here once in a while it's what we do, since we hate to wait to be seated LOL. Food was ok today, country potatoes were A BIT greasy compared to other times we have come. I love the coffee and the creamers, jelly and the usual condiments are on the table so you dont have to be asking the waitresses for some.

Giant portions and everything tastes great

I had the country fried chicken and it was perfectly crisp. The gravy was peppery, the country potatoes were well seasoned, and the scrambled eggs were just fine.

I barely had any biscuits and gravy which seems like a overkill for a meal of that size.

I even had some pancakes which were nice and fluffy, not rubbery like sole other places (hi Denny's).

It's also insane that the lunch includes a free dessert.

How does anyone leave here without leftovers??

and if you like coffee , they have plenty of flavored creamers

Good portions and good service. The one part that was lacking was the meat quality of the chicken fried steak. The meat was very tough and difficult to chew. Perhaps it was just my bad luck. It won't stop me from visiting again.

Best breakfast spot in town! Great food, great service. For the price you get huge portions. Restaurant is clean with a cute country western theme. My husband and I love this place.

A little bit of a wait for a table on a Saturday morning BUT SO WORTH IT! Excellent food! When visiting family again in Bakersfield we're definitely eating at Spender's AGAIN!

Fried chicken salad is awesome, two people can share this, it's huge, of course my grandson had no problem eating it all

Went once, never going back. As soon as my family and I walked in we felt unwelcomed. Our server was rude and checked on us only after we had to ask someone else for something. Don't know if they are against people of certain ethnicity but it sure felt like it. Food was ok, 4/10.
