The decor is super nice, very hip and modern. The wifi leaves a lot to be desired. They use a trial system, which stops working after an hour and can be finicky to use. The food and pastries are fantastic, but I think the coffee is only ok. They serve a roast from Pannikin Coffee on a La Marzoco machine. The roast is a reasonable quality, but they over-steamed the milk on my latte even with such a nice machine.
There's a ton of potential for improvement just in getting better wifi and refining their coffee's milk quality.

So far so good 👍🏻
Friendly staff. 👍🏻
Good social distancing measures as far as staff goes.👍🏻
Great cold brew coffee.👌🏻
Lots of choices and good outdoor seating with some shade depending on where you sit.🤔

I would have to say the best coffee/lattes you’ll find in Carlsbad. Great spot, everyone is always happy order comes out quick. Haven’t had breakfast there yet but plan on it very soon.

First and foremost, the coffee here is AMAZE... I’ve been to some corporate places I won’t name and their coffee tastes like burnt asphalt and rubber... NOT AT BABA! Can it be?! A place that has coffee that actually tastes like ... wait for it... GOOD COFFEE!?
Secondly, what I really respect about the ownership is they give people a choice on masks. I love this. If people want to wear it they can... if they don’t... they don’t have to... and they don’t make the staff wear them!!? I mean.. hello ... are you hiring!? Haha it’s really friendly there regardless of anything you believe in personally. Just darn good coffee!

We discovered this super cool coffee shop because my eyes read BOBA coffee verses Baba coffee lol thank goodness this hip cool vibe business had Boba, yummy. It was fresh and soft for you Boba lovers like myself and now we have a place locally verses driving to Convoy in San Diego.
Lots of delicious menu options including gluten-free baked goods.
The staff was friendly and service quick including chatting with the owner whom we initially thought he was a friendly customer.
My husband and I appreciate quality and were happy that this business we discovered survived this pandemic.
BOBA ANYONE???
Stay and enjoy the environment while people watching without feeling rushed to move on.

Over 20 minute wait for $12 lox bagel and $7 orange juice. Good coffee and customer service. You’re better off going out to breakfast to Shorehouse Kitchen or Swami’s Cafe.

Huge selection of drinks and food, there is always something new and so many varieties of each thing. The owner is there almost every day to my knowledge, so friendly and treats every customer like a friend. The staff is also lovely, great customer service and always willing to strike up a conversation. It's also the perfect environment to read a book or get some work done. Do yourself a favor and go there

Love this place! Awesome coffee, a great loose leaf tea selection, and great light cafe food! The staff is super nice, and it's a great place to get work done too. Plenty of places to sit inside and out, and easy parking behind the place at the train station. Quickly becoming my favorite local coffee shop!

Very cute coffee shop. Very friendly staff. A large selection of food and pastries. The iced coffee and cow milk lattes were delicious. Don’t order an alternative milk latte hot however. I know alternative milks are harder to work with when steaming but I make and buy them often with oat milk (way too often ) and don’t have any trouble. A purchased latte is a treat and when I pay for the alternative milk on top of the latte price I’m looking forward to that creamy velvet first drink. This was not that. So iced coffee or drip coffee if I return.

If you’re going to charge $6.30 for an oat milk latte, at least make it taste good. Other reviews say tea and food is great, but makes no sense when “coffee” is in the name.
