Hilltop Cafe

Very clean and professional. Their chicken fried steak skillet was amazing and they don't skimp on the hot chocolate!

Went to dinner with my wife tonight. We usually come once a week. Tonight was a bad day for Hilltop Cafe. We ordered the 2 for 1 chicken dinner. We know it takes a while to cook, but there where tables seated after we ordered are food that ordered and received their chicken dinners before us. We waited an hour ended up leaving after I asked about why they got their food before us when they sat down after we ordered. No response, but they were sorry and there was a few more still before us. Ended up paying for our drinks and left. Chicken still was not ready.

One time steak over done.
Next time waited over an hour for food, only to be told that our ticket had not been put in!
Owner did not offer any compensation at all, not even free desserts. :(

The Chicken Lorraine was fantastic! The bread on the side was terrific. The iceburg lettuce salad looked disappointing; but, the blue cheese dressing made it delicious. I took my baked potato and soup to go.

The service was outstanding. This was my first visit.

Just wish they were not out of bread pudding!

The food is excellent and well worth waiting for. I had the fried fish. It was perfectly done crispy on the outside and the fish was done on the inside but still flaky and moist. Just the way I like it. Jaki's is neat and clean but Don't be in a hurry when you come here. This is a relaxing place to eat in the country. This is definitely slow food :) this is the second time I've eaten here and each time the food was excellent.

Came into establishment by myself waiting to be seated at a low volume time. 2 persons came in minutes after and were seated before me. A slap in the face for sure. I wasn't wearing my suit and tie and neither were they but maby I will the next time just to get a smile and a simple breakfast. If there is a next time.

Good food, big selection, fast and reasonably priced. Staff is friendly. The broasted chicken meals are really good value and delicious.

Only decent sit down eatery in the area. Food is good, atmosphere good for the community surviving a major fire. Only negative I saw was the waitress had a scowl on her face and did not make me feel comfortable asking for any extra help or items.

This place just opened after being closed because of the Camp Fire. The food was delicious and the waitress was awesome..
