We stopped in while touring the Avenue of the Giants. Great service, quiet atmosphere, good portions. Took some to go. Had calzones and a meatball sandwich, all very good.

Great soup. Nice salads. Good pizza. Its clean. The place smells good. They have a nice beer list. The wine is ok, as in better than I expected. The server was helpful and friendly.
Bathroom needs attention. I would eat here again.

Great find coming through Ave of the Giants. Food was delicious-fresh and made with care. Patio dining with views of trees. Would give this place an extra star because they have kids menu with assortment-pizza, pasta, burgers, etc which satisfied both of our little ones. Recommend!

Got a 3 cheese calzone with pep and garlic added. Nom! Combo platter..she got a cheese burger and some turtle cheesecake! Finished it up with a banana smoothie for the road!!

Decent quality food but could have had better coffee.

Delicious ( and I do mean delicious pizzas) and very good hot wings and salads. Friendly service. This place is a good reminder of the adage, "good food from scratch takes time"...and how/why that adage holds truth. If you are in the area and they are open, I highly recommend giving them a try.

The smell cought our attention and we were not disappointed. Service was excellent. The menu had a wide variety to choose from. When we finally decided and ordered the wait time for our food was a reasonable amount of time. The cafe was clean and inviting. I would recommend the cafe to everyone.

Normally the food is good and the service as well, last time I went in the waitress i think she had glasses was actually pretty rude and super short to me and my friend I was pretty bummed with normally having good service, especially when seeing her be very nice to the other patrons excluding us as well as our calzone being very cold. Ive been a customer for years so Ill go back but that visit was a discouraging one.

We were in the Garberville area for 3 days over Father's day weekend & were starving & exhausted from hiking all day. Also our group of 4 had a toddler with us.We had been hugely disappointed with the other places we had eaten the previous 2 nights so we drove the extra distance to this place. The staff was friendly, the food great & the portions large.[we had calzones & build your own pizza] .We made a mistake in our order & they were really nice about it. The food was so good we packed the left overs in the cooler & took it home (8 hrs away) with us & had it for dinner the next night. Thanks to everyone at the Avenue Cafe !

Don’t judge by the outside. This gem of a cafe along the Avenue of the Giants, has food and service that is as astounding as the redwoods in the area!! The Greek salad and pizzas (surprisingly, they even have gluten free pizzas!!) are delicious!! If you are visiting the splendor of the redwood forests, visit the Avenue Cafe. You won’t be disappointed!!
