Dinner menu has wonderful entrées. I had the Italian brisket. Very tasty, but the meat was dry. Very attentive staff. A work in progress, the owner is very savvy and I expect this restaurant to be a success.

The Friar's Fork Sanctuary sets a high bar for any place. A welcome restaurant for Alamosa. Both of our entrees were excellent. Osso Buco Alla Milanese and Italian Brisket and the Fried Cheese Ravioli appetizer. Pinot Gris was also a good selection. A lot of locals come here. The menu is very small and it appears that they take care in the preparation.

Heaven in Alamosa. You MUST try the charcuterie board. The drinks and food were created and served with pride and professionalism. My husband and I could not have had a better evening anywhere! Denise and Nelson are delightful hosts.

What a great way to keep a 100+ year old building a part of alamosa's History. We stopped in for drinks and loved the atmosphere and chill vibe. They can make pretty much any drink you want (coffee, tea, alcohol, and mixed drinks). Four of us ordered drinks and every single one was really good. They have Ardbeg... I can't even find big steakhouses in Denver that serve Ardbeg. If you know you know.

Delicious! Had the chicken parm and caprese salad. My salad was so fresh! Service was excellent and friendly. Eclectic decor.

Truly a great place to eat. There isn't anything like this in the valley. It is a casual place to eat a over the top meal. We went before dinner was being served so we went to the sanctuary and had drinks to pass the time. The drinks were great, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The price of dinner was fairly priced for well made Italian food! Would highly recommend!!!

Happened upon this unique restaurant passing through Alamosa. Unique beautiful ambiance in an old church. A couple of gluten free/ dairy free pasta options. I got the gf pasta with meat and it was delicious. My friend was happy with the charcuterie for one. I’ll stop here again next time too!

Love the atmosphere, keeping the charm of the old Spanish style church! The servers were very friendly and knowledgeable. Good was brought out quickly and was fresh and piping hot! Didn't have a chance to get dessert, but wasn't to go back and try that as well as one of their signature cappuccinos.
One note about food allergies. A friend is allergic to garlic, and there is nothing on the menu available without garlic. I love garlic, so not a problem for me, but for this person, they ended up having to make do with salad without dressing and some cheese from the charcuterie plate for their dinner.

Best cafe in town. Sanctuary cafe. Which is the building to the left of the restaurant. Great outdoor courtyard when it’s a nice day. Dog friendly cafe usually.

There’s a lot going on here as far as offerings - high quality handcrafted Italian/Mediterranean inspired meals plus cocktails and espresso! Ambiance and service are something you typically have to seek out in big cities making this establishment a truly lovely find for a small town. Also the espresso bar is open in the lounge (the Sanctuary) currently by 8am weekdays except for Wednesday. Unique signature drinks and tons of syrups to build your own from. Stop in and support local!
