My neighborhood go to spot. I like union market in general, but I’ve been a fan of peregrine even from the capitol hill location when I was living there. I am glad one is near by now.
Good service and I like the fact this location time to time have disability attentive services and hires.
It’s good to see stores accepting diversity and I coussin practice.

Deaf-friendly. The baristas all can use ASL. Just inside Union Market, across the street from Gallaudet's West gate. (it is important for visitors and newbies to note the gate is open only from 6a-6p. Union Market is hopping until way after that. We had to travel back by Florida avenue)

This place always has nice staff and great coffee, but their cups and lids are terrible. Without fail, they leak every single time. Just today we bought two coffees. The first cup leaked immediately so we changed it. Walked 3 minutes to the car and lo and behold both cups are leaking. It ruins the grab-and-go experience. Highly recommend getting a new cup and lid supplier.

One of the best cappuccinos I've had in the DC area, without a doubt. It's not an over-sized 12 oz cup of burnt milk with only 1 shot of espresso like many of the chains serve you. This was a excellent and proper 6 oz cappuccino with 2 shots of espresso and velvety steamed/frothed milk. More coffee, much better taste, and it's a locally run business. I will definitely be back (there are 3 locations in DC.)

Great coffee, but their cups are defective and leak constantly. If you're going, ask them to double cup so it reduces spillage- especially if you're walking somewhere. Use the Joe App to order ahead so you can earn points. Very friendly staff.

Worth the wait, as it were.

On my maiden visit to Union Market, I was in search of coffee, which led me to Peregrine, which, as I soon learned, is the only on-premises coffee shop - as evidenced by the massive line that greeted my arrival. But, no matter, because these things are good patience-builders, and it just made my Americano that much better once I finally got it. Plus, the servers were friendly, and the Market's carnival atmosphere was not to be missed. In the end, I quite enjoyed my visit to Peregrine, and even ventured back through the line for seconds.

Big thanks to everyone at this vendor, for providing me with my memorable coffee. Keep up the good work :D

I ordered a latte here and it was absolutely amazing! I went on Saturday and it was super packed, so I thought that my latte would be rushed and not taste that great. That was far from the case! It did take a little longer to get my latte, but it was definitely worth it.

6 out of 5. Amazing coffee. Makes you wonder what twisted logic it is to have spent all that money to certain chain coffee franchise for crappy coffee while I could get THIS! Nutty, flavorful, expertly roasted and well balanced taste. Rich body yet not over the top. I would buy one everytime I go back!

Staff is cool and friendly as well!

I'm a tea drinker. I've made lots of delicious tea at home and have read plenty about the proper brewing of tea. When I asked for an extra strong cup of Iron Goddess Oolong from Peregrine Espresso, the employee told me to just steep the tea longer than three minutes for stronger tea. Stop. First, the ratio for leaf to water at PE was way too low (leaf to water). Second, anybody who knows anything about tea knows that to make stronger tea, you increase the amount of leaf not the steep time. Over-steeping Sinensis makes it bitter with tannins. This place needs to educate their staff on brewing tea. before selling it. But who cares about tea?... I'm sure their espresso is totally dialed in.....
