From bad service and unhealthy menus. Nice surprise in N. Florida. A Gorgeous proprietor, served our family a delicious breakfast, the Bagel sandwiches were super! Our daughter talked about the bear all afternoon! My wife was in love with the mantle and fireplace. And it was just a nice change from the usual.

Great atmosphere and even better coffee. The food is to die for. The owner is so sweet and will always customize coffees to suit your taste. Best place in town and always love stopping in to grab a cup on the go or sitting down to enjoy it.

I have enjoyed lunch, coffees, and muffins here, but I was overjoyed with the Valentine's event in the wine room. I surprised my husband with this experience and he fell in love with the shop and people just like I did. We just booked the next event there and I can hardly wait!

This was a delightfully unexpected experience today — we drove from Tallahassee to Madison for a burial at the Oak Ridge cemetery, and decided to grab some quick late lunch in town — we happened upon this place and found the most pleasant and lovely people. Moruna treated us with kindness and patience for a 5-member group, and not knowing our situation. The cozy environment was perfect for some intimate chat. The food and coffee were excellent, quite possibly the tastiest croissant sandwich I’ve ever had (ham, swiss, and local figs). I loved it so much I was planning on returning the next day on my drive back to Miami from Tallahassee (sadly not open on Sundays). Moruna was especially sweet to offer us some coffee on the house when she learned of the situation with the funeral and our long drives coming up.

I absolutely did not expect this level of service, fantastic options, or tasty food; but our entire party was very impressed and happy for the quiet moment in a long day.

Needless to say, I definitely asked for a second croissant to go for future consumption. I’m sad I will not be able to frequent this café, but definitely looking forward to stopping in next time I’m travelling the I-10.

I am from Coral Springs, FL. I was visitig Madison 3 weeks ago with my husband, for work porpose; and I was cold looking for a place with good and hot coffee, so I found Sunrise Coffee Shop, it's the most amazing place I've experience. Their recipes of their coffees, are delicious and the pastries tastes like heaven!. The customer service it's nothing similar, to the places I frequent around where I live. Merona wins the sympathy of customers, she's so polite and her soft talk remindes me Hallmark Movies coffee shops. Thanks Merona, you're so sweet!

Highly recommend for small meetings if traveling from the Gulf/Tallahassee to Jacksonville Florida or r and r for anyone on the interstate, wanting to stretch their legs in this small town.

My business sales increased, we just love this place, and returning to the office or home with a box of homemade bakery treats makes everyone happy!

How exciting!!!

Happened on this quaint coffee shop for just a quick coffee, and what a Surprise! Not only was the coffee and homemade pastry amazing but, It was their opening day after their summer close and the owner or co owner is a movie actress or fashion model and there was a crew filming a movie!! They asked us if we minded being extras in the scene, we signed a release and we stayed for another hour!! What fun!! Never expected that in Madison! Although we live far away, Can't wait to return, must be beautiful at Christmas time.

I'm not sure about the raving going on here... I went there based on a ton of high star reviews and expected a bustling restuarant. I arrived to find it empty on a weekend day at 11 AM. My breakfast, while it was adequate and the portion large, was nothing special and seemed to me to be overpriced for what I got and the town this is located in. I expect to pay too much for breakfast in Manhattan, but not in small town FL.

Also, I got a cappuccino and I'm not sure if I missed it in the menu where it says "We're gonna dump cinnamon on top of your coffee unless you tell us not to" but there was cinnamon sprinkled on top, which kind of ruined it for me. I like cinnamon, just not in my coffee. There's a ton of different flavored coffee options and I would expect that the fact that I chose coffee-flavored coffee should make anyone think twice about adding any other flavors.

The owner was friendly and personable as described but the price and coffee-ruining was a bummer.

I love this place so much! It is a great atmosphere to sit and relax!! My friends and I love to enjoy coffee or tea together here, and in my opinion the prices are perfect for the amazing coffee you receive..the owner also cares about the customers and that makes it 10 times better!! I love this place so so much!
