Staff here are always rude. They don't make eye contact or say please and thank you or smile. I didn't even get a hello today. The girl stared at her iPad ignoring me until I asked if she was ready to take my order. Breakfast sandwiches are overpriced and they use microwave bacon and egg on it, no different than Dunkin.
The staff seemed bored and distracted, chatting with each other and looking at their phones. The food is over priced. The blender for smoothies is extremely loud. I am a grad student and like to work in coffee shops but I will drive to Bangor when I’m in the mood for some coffee shop study time.
I enjoyed my 1st visit to Nest today. Great customer service, amazing atmosphere, and delicious drinks (iced oat chai was awesome). And thank you for the stickers!!!!
Indifferently prepared hipster food in the middle of a wilderness. I had a latte and a yogurt-granola-fruit bowl and those were pretty good, but another person in my party had avocado toast (I know, I know) and there was a big honkin' brown spot in the middle of it. Also I didn't get a real big "Hi! Welcome to Nest!!" kind of a vibe. Then we went to the general store down the street for a while and then I went back and got another latte. Latte number two was not a socks-knocker-offer. Now you have to consider whether you would trust a review from someone who coins a term like "socks-knocker-offer."
I've been to Nest three times and each time my order has been either epically messed up or I needed to walk them through the process. For example, today I went got food (which was prepared wrong), but even more surprisingly when I ordered my "single shot latte" they ask, "shot of what?"
Also, I got to coffee shops to hang out and relax so each time I've frequented Nest I have specifically ordered "For Here. In a mug please" and each time I have received my drink in a togo cup.
I could continue to tell of more mishaps (wrong drinks, employees not knowing basic drinks, dirty utensils, or hearing employees in the back speak of my husband when he had to return something), but I still really really want to like Nest. It is an absolutely beautiful little coffee shop, with all the right aesthetics, great location, a wide selection of milks (soy, almond, etc.) - which I greatly appreciate, gorgeous baked good, but unfortunately the employees have NO idea what they are doing. Please please please start listening to customers when they are ordering and pleeease train staff how to prepare basic hot drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, breves...).

Love this little coffee shop. The homemade bagels are amazing, and creating a smoothie bowl is super fun.
