Aldea Coffee

I worked near Grand Haven for two summers, and then left two years ago. This past weekend I went up to visit the area and had to stop at Aldeas. I would go in a couple times a week over the summer, enough to be noticed but not enough to have many conversations with the wonderful baristas. Upon returning this past weekend, Jeremy saw me and immediately remembered my name! Nearly two years of not going there and he remembers my name! They care about their customers and it shows. On top of that, as someone who loves trying new coffee shops and has somewhat high standards for quality of espresso, Aldeas is top notch, one of the best cafes I've been to and one I've consistently recommended to anyone travelling through the area. Make sure to check out the loft upstairs, some of the artwork has absolutely floored me in the past. Best café in a hundred miles, hands down.

Aldea Coffee is carefully sourced and built around improving the lives of the community where the coffee is grown. They bring the same care to every cup of coffee they serve both in Grand Haven and in Muskegon. There is a real purpose to every cup of coffee and it shows in how seriously they take their coffee from farm to table.

As a lifelong traveler I have satisfied my coffee addiction all over the world. Living in Italy pushed me over the line to coffee elitist. Aldea Coffee at the Armory in Grand Haven MI hits 5 stars in all categories. Excellent coffee from growers with whom they actually have a personal relationship.
The ambiance is so comfortable that my daily double espresso and a dose of Aldea has inspired me to move up the finishing date of my upcoming novel.

Aldea has the best coffee in Muskegon/Grand Haven. The staff are all very knowledgeable and friendly as well. Aldea also highly values the community and the environment.

When I die after a blazing gun battle with authorities at the age of 135, I want to go to heaven. I hope that heaven is exactly like Aldea Coffee. My people are there, and they like me and rarely annoy me. And the latte is excellent. The End.

PS. My favorite drink is the Cascara Latte. Ask the folks behind the counter about it, it's delicious. Or go with the Cafe Miel if you're a honey lover. Or your name is Honey. Or if you love bees. And so on.

The lemonade is brilliant: try the ginger for a refreshing change.

Our first choice in coffee! We buy it to brew at home too! A lovely place to meet and drink coffee! The staff is friendly and invested in their community as well as partnering directly with the Honduran farmers who grow their coffee! Try the cascara latte!

This place is quality!

If you are looking for a craft coffee experience and appreciate well made drinks, ethically sourced product, and friendly/knowledgable staff, then get yourself over to Aldea. You'll be very happy. I've been all over the world drinking coffee and this place stands stands among the best coffee shops on the planet. Seriously.

Not only can you get excellent coffee and tea drinks, but if you are new to coffee the staff will kindly explain what they do and how they do it. This is a great place to have a new experience and to learn more about what great coffee is. You'll be very comfortable at Aldea. They are free of the pretentiousness and attitude often found in places that take coffee very seriously.

It takes a little time to make a quality drink, so plan to chillax a little in anticipation of your experience. Watch how quality coffee drinks are lovingly made.

FYI, if you are in a rush and just need to grab a quick cup of joe or double crap-a-cino with extra whip...this isn't your place. :)
