Very nice coffee shop right next to EMU. The dark roasts are great, and a bag of Sumatra-style whole beans is about $14. The baristas are friendly. If you bring an empty bag of their beans back they'll give you a discount on a subsequent bag, or a free coffee.

Quaint cafe featuring trendy local art work and serving up awesome coffee. The almond croissant was amazing! The atmosphere, service and view of the water tower make it an Ypsi must try!

This review is based on sanitation measures in light of the pandemic we are in. Recently, I was at this location for a couple of hours doing some work. During that time patrons came and left, but not once did the worker sanitize nor clean anything. Other coffee shops and restaurants are wiping down things and sanitizing them after every customer. These measures should be considered at this location.

This is my favorite coffee place. The staff are exceptional people, the drinks and food are delicious, and the atmosphere is delightful. I never minded that the place is a bit small, because it allows the environment to be kept fairly calm and relaxed.

Fantastic baked good mixed with delicious coffee. You can't go wrong. I particularly love the French Vietnamese Au Lait and the Almond Croissant. I try to treat myself once every few weeks to this!

I found out this Sweetwaters location opened less than a week ago and it already provides the appearance and feel it has been here & belonged here for quite a while.
The atmosphere is great! Different seating is available depending on group size (large table in front, smaller everywhere else), a comfortable amount of windows that provide an almost outdoor feel with the comfort of an indoor climate.
More importantly, the Batista's and products here are top notch. I've only tried a few of the drink items and I've found it hard to leave not absolutely satisfied each time. It’s about time Ann Arbor learned to share Sweetwaters with Ypsilanti!

Staff was super friendly which is why I scored so high. Unfortunately I ordered a cold brew coffee and was served a cup of packed ice with a few sips of day old drip. On the up side, it was gone quickly enough that I wasn’t stuck with it for long.

This place is one of my favorites. It's my default coffee shop to go to when I'm on campus. Maybe it's the location, but I find it to be cozy compared to others.
Anyways it's clean, it's usually filled with sunlight, and the team goes above and beyond.

Coffee was good, but isn’t it unfair to your artists to not include their names and info with their work? As my wife is an artist and we are supporters of all forms of small business, that could be the difference between gaining or losing a sale. I know Sweetwaters is all about promoting fellow small businesses and local artists, but this is doing the opposite.

Super cute place right next to campus, pretty fair prices and perfect atmosphere.
