Caribou Coffee

Ordered online on our way through town and by the time my phone sent the order we were there. Sat patiently in drive thru. When the drive thru lady gave us our order she chews us out for "not giving them time" and " needing to be patient" ummm lady sounds like you need a lesson in customer service!

This is the best place for good coffee in Wilmar, bar none. The service if fast, the brews are hot or cold as expected, and it is always clean with friendly enough service. It has the corporate coffee feel but that's ok with me usually, since I expect consistency. They recenlty (8/17) went to cream in the little pods which is a drawback, but otherwise it's very good. Drive up service is available, too, and in fact, you'll sometimes have to wait inside while they seem to give preference to those in their cars. Oh well, when I go in to sit I'm not usually in too much of a hurry.

I have been a customer for years. The mint conditions are great and taste the same every time. However this past year the customer wait time has been really bad! I can understand when its busy but consistently I see workers in slow motion or socializing and then apologize for taking so long.

Worst caribou I've ever been to, over and over. Drink NEVER tastes right. Employees can't seem to ever understand a simple order... I order iced carmel lattes, and they argue with me that it is a Carmel highrise. There is a .50 cent difference on those drinks and I constantly get charged for a highrise when ordering a LATTE.. I should not have to train the employees. This caribou needs help big time with training employees and having consistent drinks. I've never had such a problem with drinks tasting awful every time before been here multiple times. Thank god the cabin opened!!!!

Every time I have ordered a large Cold Press with caramel it does not taste line there was the right amount of caramel. Today I watched an employee make it and they put only 5 pumps of caramel and then added the ice. This is not correct. You add the coffee to the right line on the cup and then mix it before adding the ice. The employee was just going to swirl the cup and give it to me like Tuesday of this week. This is not the first time.

Always a pleasure coming to this location, with quality products and friendly crew. I just wish they would post the trivia question in drive thru window like the other locations do. Not that 10 cents matters but I find it interesting to try to answer them.

Caribou has their Memorial Day perk, going from Thursday to Monday, and it’s a buy 1 get 1 Cabin Bar Mocha. Since buying coffee adds up quickly, I try to only get them when I have a perk. On the second day of them offering this deal (Friday) I went to get a couple of the mochas, and was told they were out of that flavor syrup that they use in their Cabin Bar Mocha. I asked if they could still do it minus that syrup, or substitute it for just another syrup, she said no. Then I asked if they would be willing to just let me use the perk on a different flavor mocha, and again she said no... really? Maybe there is a reason she couldn’t, but I don’t think the situation was handled well. Working in the food service industry, I know that you usually want to try to work with your customer to have them leave satisfied, and yet there was no effort made. She didn’t really say anything else or offer anything, so I took it as we can’t honor the perk we announced, so you’ll have to just choose two different drinks and pay full price. I ended up leaving without getting anything, and haven’t bothered to go back since I have no idea when or if they will be able to honor the perk. Caribou is my favorite coffee shop in Willmar, so I am pretty disappointed with the incident.

Worst Caribou store ever. Staff somehow forgot to make 2 of our 3 drinks until I asked where the rest of my order was. Then had to remind them again to get my third drink..which was made wrong.
Store had 3 customers total so it wasn't that I was lost in a huge order que. Had to sit there for 15 minutes while they screwed off with their friends.

Went through the drive thru. Friendly, detail oriented staff. Prompt service. Have been inside for coffee before and the wait for coffee when it is busy is a good 5 to 7 minutes.
