Mockingbird Cafe

Never been here, downtown, tourist area... Walk in, not one employee acknowledged or greeted us, there were 3 present doing nothing else. After 3 minutes and some investigation we approached a counter with employees and asked if we seat ourselves. They advised us to get menus and order at a counter before sitting even. Seeing it wasn't even 8 am and I'd never seen this menu I sat down to browse. While seated there is an info card at the table explaining how they expect you to buss your table. So they also expect you to work while you're eating there. Menu is super limited and unaccommodating, stating things like no changes or substitutions. Cold unwelcoming atmosphere. Not family friendly. Horrible service. Inhospitable expectations. My advice go anywhere else... Sunrise Cafe is great, dat kitchen too, butter cup, even waffle house trumps this place.

If I'm feeling like "counter service" I'll go to McDonald's, they've got you beat too✅

Quaint and amazing, you can tell everyone who works here cares and feels invested in their workplace. Good energy! The coffee and food were top notch. They are using quality ingredients, and it shows.

Used to be good. Drive off the beaten path only to have a counter staff argue about a latte coffee order. Do not correct a customer who has been a barista they want a cappuccino instead of a latte.

Note to management:
Advise your staff not to condescend or correct customers. That’s sure way to lose them and really leave a bad taste in your mouth for your business.

Friendly, professional service. Parking is a little tricky ,it's best to walk if possible.

Wow! What a treat this place has been! Be sure to stop in and try some of their food. My favorite was the Pulled Pork and Grits with espresso infused BBQ sauce and a fried egg. So so good!

This is as good of food as you can find. One of the best omelettes I've ever had. Grits were really smooth. All the young ladies working here are supper nice. Only reason they only get a five star from me is you can't give a six. Most excellent.

Best Mocha Cafe I have ever had. French toast and hamburgers are excellent, so my guess is that all their food is good. A bit pricey and you have to bus your own table and get your own doggy boxes from a table inside. That was a first for me, but it sort of "fits" this trendy place. I will return when company comes to visit. Next door is a neat shopping mall "kinda"? Kinda Key Westy!

Had quite a line but we enjoyed it. Strong coffee, good food

Would get 4 stars if they could get their act together in terms of serving people at counter. It can take forever, and requires a lot of patience. Why does the bar area not have cash register? Why do you hold musical events without an exterior bar? Tremendous loss of revenue for you, and will prompt people to bring their own No one wants to be in line for 15 minutes, when there to see a band.
