Catalyst Coffee Bar

First time here, won’t be back. Coffee was okay- I got a white mocha and it was a little bitter. The art is the highlight of this place and the only reason it got two stars instead of one. We arrived about 15 minutes to close and were walking around the gallery waiting on coffee, and a woman came out, just glared at us for a second and then said they were closing. I was like I know, we are waiting on coffee (it was still 5 till close), but when I walked back up to the front the coffee was ready. The barista hadn’t said anything about an order being ready, so we hadnt seen it. I am a barista too, and have worked multiple customer service jobs. The customer service was poor and I wish that woman hadn’t been rude because the shop itself is cute.

Good coffee shop. A bit high brow, meaning limited options and relatively high prices. But my iced mocha was good. Shares a space with an art gallery, which gives it an interesting vibe. Also, I accidentally tipped $100 (meant to tip $1 but I hit the button too many times), and they were able to cancel the transaction, which I greatly appreciated!

The barista was so helpful and nice, and we were able to peek at an amazing exhibit that was hung in the connected gallery!

Embarrassing experience. I first of all want to say that I hate leaving negative reviews- especially of a place that serves excellent coffee and benefits local artists (I am one myself). The staff are lovely too. However today when my husband and I were in the cafe, I desperately needed to go to the restroom as I have a medical condition in which sometimes I can't help when I will need the toilet. After I went, someone at the back of the gallery started shouting at my husband as to why I went to the restroom. When I got out, she was staring at me the whole time until I was seated. I felt extremely embarrassed and intimidated and couldn't wait to leave.

Very nice coffee shop and great service. My regular barista is Britt and she does a stellar job at making my coffee just right every time. It's a nice quite little place in down town to stop in it meet with someone. They also have a rotating collection of local art that is awesome. I am not a coffee person everyday but when I am in the mood this is one of my favorite places to go.
