Dish remains my favorite restaurant in Lincoln. I have never had anything on their menu that I didn't like. Even ingredients I wouldn't normally gravitate towards (like kale) are transformed into delicious treats by these talented chefs who not only have a knack for building flavors, but also excel at overall execution.

You might not expect great dining in Lincoln, Nebraska, but this farm-to-table menu really shines. The service was slow but meticulous; our waiter very quickly grasped the tastes of everyone in our party and was patient in explaining the dishes. Everything was fabulously fresh and beautifully plated. The flavors of the main dishes and accompaniments were harmonious to a degree that's very uncommon. The only complaint at the table was that doneness requests weren't fully honored; not a place to order your filet well-done if you expect it served gray. Expensive, but a very good value for the prices if you appreciate dinner as chef-craft.

This is by far and away one of the best restaurants in town... or anywhere for that matter! It's an artisanal eatery where there is a pleasant surprise in every bite. The food combinations are original and complex. I'm here for 6 days and will definitely revisit this place! Service is phenomenal as well!

In from Chicago, doing business in Lincoln, my colleague and I had dinner at DISH. I was extremely suspicious when the waiter said that the scallop risotto was the best thing on the menu — we were in NEBRASKA — but then the (adorable) young man said, "Trust me: I'm from California and these are really, really good." He was right. I loved my meal. The decor is a little cheesy, but don't let it scare you. Our food was thoughtfully prepared and intelligently designed. Oh, but you guys: The wine pours? Please! Not cool. That was some skimpy serving! It doesn't look fancy to give so little in the glass, it just looks ... skimpy. Otherwise, merci.

Marypat and Rachel are outstanding hosts, and they bring real creativity to their food and drink menus. Every plate from Rachel's kitchen is an absolute pleasure for the senses. We don't visit nearly as often as we should!

Dish is the best restaurant in Lincoln in my opinion. I appreciate that they have a seasonal menu that changes based on the availability of fresh ingredients--something I'm not aware of any other restaurant in town doing. Well worth a visit and worth every penny. They also have excellent cocktails.

Picked up a family meal last night of red wine glazed short ribs, kale salad, risotto, focaccia bread and a (GF) peanut butter/chocolate chip cookie. The huge chunk of short ribs melted in my mouth because it was exquisitely prepared! Every little detail provided something of great value, such as the thyme oil (antiviral!) and more. Even the moist cookie, ideally flavored, was beyond what this cookie-lover has achieved on her own! The only place I have experienced such a perfectly cooked piece of meat this size was in a 4-star restaurant in Montreal. We are fortunate in Lincoln, to have a gem like the Dish restaurant!

Highly recommended!! What a great find in Lincoln. The atmosphere is quiet and its easy to visit with your table. Greeted well at the door, seated immediately. The chairs are very comfortable and the whole mood is relaxing.
Our server as quiet, efficient, fast, helpful. Perfect!
Every dish that was served was unique, hot and GOOD! We shared 2 appetizers--the bacon wrapped dates and scallop brushetta. The table had the crab cake salad, piergoes, duck, seafood special. All was shared and all was very good.
It will be first on our list next time we visit our daughter in college!

Place had a weird smell to it. Everything seemed super dater. No jack Daniel's, no jim bean or Jameson. Said ok Woodford neat. Nope only well whiskey. I'll have a Coke. Don't recommend this place.

An excellent dining experience. Best restaurant in town. Gordon Ramsay wishes he could make food this good
