Excellent coffee and espresso drinks. Love the tea, too.
One thing I don't think some people realize is that this is a specialty coffee place, not some fast food Dunkin Donuts or Aroma Joe's. If you're in a hurry and you see a line of at least three people while the staff is running around making multiple orders, don't expect your meal or drink to be popped out instantly. They work fast, but they value quality and will make sure you have an EXCELLENT high quality latte over a rushed and sloppy one. If time is of the essence and you don't care about how good the espresso drink is, then maybe consider a fast food joint. I've never had a sub par drink here. They've only ever been delicious. Great music, awesome service. Beautiful atmosphere. The big window is really lovely and has a great view of the outside, a perfect spot to sit at on both sunny days and rainy ones. The people working there are fun and friendly, and you can tell that they take their work seriously. (Bonus: Very artist friendly!)

Fantastic coffee drinks and great service. They are always friendly and are willing to help you find the right drink (there are a lot of great choices). You can also get Tea, Breakfast Sandwiches, and other pastries. They source their ingredients from other NH small businesses, so you are enjoying a lot of what NH has to offer including La Cascade chocolate. They recently rearranged their seating and it is great, more seating and more space at the same time.

There coffee is top notch and and the employees know what they are talking about. I love the lavender honey or the cinnamon latte and my partner loves the bullseye! If your lucky enough to go on a day they have chocolate croissants grab one they are amazing!

Great coffee and service! I ordered a small peppermint matcha and a small gingerbread latte, and they were both absolutely delicious and not overly sweet - perfection!

My fiancée and I stopped in this morning after doing a bit of research on a good coffee spot in Manchester. AMAZING experience. The manager walked us through the beans they had for sale and we chatted about brew methods, beans, and A&E. So glad we found an awesome NH owned roaster/cafe! CNt wait to try our Thundersnow Espresso 😍.

The location in Manchester has very nice people working, but the service is soooo slooow. The employees just have no idea that those that are working cannot wait 10-15 minutes for a latte! Delicious coffee. Tell them to make the coffee hot. Nice vibe, good people, polite.

Quirky little coffee shop. It's small, maybe only sitting room for 8 people. It's got coffee related nick-nacks all over the shelves and counters. There's some nice artwork on the walls painted by the employees (owners?) and it's got a cozy feel. As for the coffee, I don't consider myself a connoisseur, so all I can say is the cafe mocha is excellent.

Let me start by saying I'm thankful to have a third wave coffee option in Manchester. However, my experiences with A&E have only been OK. Out of the 3 times I've been they have had to remake my drink each time. Two pour overs that failed for various reasons and one milk drink. It's really frustrating when you pop in for a coffee and end up waiting 10 minutes in what should have been a brief stop. Especially for a pour over which already takes roughly 4 minutes anyway.
The coffee itself is pretty good. Many of their beans are roasted too long for my tastes, but regionally it's what people like (dark strong coffee from Dunkin, Starbucks, etc). Their whole bean prices I feel are pretty high for what they're asking for. Especially compared with other roasters (none local though of course) are asking. But it is a captive market here so I can understand that bit.
The only other thing that is troublesome are the hours. Not opening til later in the morning (forget about stopping by at 630 or even 7 for a cup) and closing early in the evening. I'm sure this was done for a reason but is nonetheless disappointing. Oddly, their baked goods have been consistently delicious! Unsure where they source them from however.

Small but cozy downtown coffee cafe. Not the quickest coffee shop, but the laid back staff were down-to-earth and super nice.
My wife and I ordered a couple of iced mochas, and although the espresso was a nice quality, the actual mocha drink was just ok. Not great, but not bad, just ok.
On a positive note, I would firmly recommend the pistachio muffins. They were absolutely perfect. Fresh, moist/not sticky, and very delicious!
This is a good place to go if you are walking the city, but there's no immediate front door parking. You're at the whim of city street parking, or near by garage.
There is outdoor seating available for nice days.

Love love LOVE this place. Awesome drinks, excellent food, the vibe is relaxing and welcoming for everyone. This is my favorite place to study, work, and read a book. Lovely little place right on Elm Street. We will happily support A&E for a very long time to come.
