The food is good. The Come Back is an easy first choice for tasty, easy fare. Their brunch atmosphere is welcoming & bustling- but bustling is the operative word. There are just *so many* people all enjoying their weekend at the same time that service lacks for it. I counted 2, mayyyybe 3 servers for easily (but possibly more than) 100 guests.
This time, we saw our server once to take our initial order, but never again. We would have liked more drinks or salt, pepper, the fork that was missing from a roll of silverware or the side of bacon that never came but we couldn't ask for any of those things because everyone is just so incredibly busy.
The food is food, the service is stretched thin.

Can't speak to the drinks, but a nice place near the square to go for breakfast. The whole block has developed an interesting culture around itself that's worth checking out!

Tasty and cheap late night food, nice bartenders, welcoming people.

Come back In is nestled in the corner of an intersection that most Madison natives are very familiar with. For those who decide to visit, you'll find yourself pleasantly surprised. The old school vibes and truly amazing looking bar are enough to make you want to sit down, and the food and drink will make you want to stay. I've only been here for breakfast, but I can say that the Cajun Hash is one of the best breakfasts I've had in town for under $10. Plus their diner-style coffee is equally as nostalgic as it is satisfying. The prices are great and the menu is expansive - this restaurant is becoming my go to place for breakfast on the weekends.

Comeback inn is a fun bar with a cool aesthetic and very friendly staff. It’s become a favorite over my time living in Madison. The only problem is the Cajun pasta, which is $16 for a less than fair amount of chicken and pasta. It’s a 10 dollar meal at most. I will absolutely be coming back to the comeback inn. I will absolutely NOT be ordering the cajun pasta again.

Nice place. Went with a big group and they handled it decently well. Not, like, the best breakfast in town, but still good. Plus, they give you fun mugs!

Got the biscuits and gravy without egg. Biscuit was rubbery and lukewarm. Depressingly small amount of potatoes on the side. Service was prompt and friendly... pretty much the only positive. Sad I payed $10 for that experience. Read another review that said "I think they used store bought canned gravy and undercooked biscuits." - sounds accurate. My friend ordered the same and had similar comments without any prompting on my part. This is my first time eating here, and it will likely be my last.

Breakfast food was not that great. We ordered omlettes and benedicts, with the latter being cold and over powering taste of rosemary. Ambience was dark, dingy and loud, filled with folk who like to drink at brunch time.

Excellent food for a great price! Can't beat the bottomless mimosas and bloody marys on the weekend from 8-3! Outdoor seating is great by the large parking lot where many community events and live music take place. Wonderful place to grab brunch or lunch in the sun! There's plenty of indoor and bar seating available as well.
