Cardinal Cafe

While typically in the past I have enjoyed Cardinal Cafe for their lively staff and delicious food, that is just not the case anymore. I thought it was by accident that on my last two visits to them, my pancakes had so much oil in them, I did not have to butter them. Not only that, they were not the fluffy and the outside edges were hard. TODAY, was a whole different experience. Came in and on the door it says that they are short handed so be patient, which is fine with me. Of course you still seat yourself, so we did on the back room as there were no open tables in the front area. Watched the waitress attend to another customer who walked in right before us. Waited patiently. She brought him his food, and we still hadn’t had our drink order taken or even acknowledged for that matter. Finally, the waitress came back to that same customer and sat down and began to talk to him as if we were not there at all. When we finally got her attention, she was apologetic but messed up our drink orders, and had to come back to the table 3 times to get the drinks right. Yes, you read that right, 3x. Again she was apologetic but we were there so long without being acknowledged I didn’t even want to eat there and we didn’t. I’m very patient but 30 mins is a biiiiiiig stretch. Not sure who owns this place now but you will not get the same hometown cafe that we were used to, from the food to the staff. Please do better.

Great place for some breakfast.. big fluffy pancakes. Good coffee. Nice friendly waiters. Just a good place to get some good eats on enjoy..!!

Called a order in to pickup on my lunch break. She said it would be ready in five minutes.. Sat in window for 15mins with no agnologement. Went inside to learn only one girl is working. Had to leave without my order. I'm now late getting back to work hungry and waisted high dollar gas to get there and back! You might have told me when I called you were short staffed and saved me the headache!

Cute small cafe with a great selection. Great server! My pancakes were a little undercooked 🙁. Otherwise pancakes, food was excellent and fresh! Would return again.

Great food and great service!!!! Very Friendly staff!!! It was my daughters birthday and we were just in town for my Husbands job and on our way out of town, but the waitresses sang her happy birthday and brought her a slice of pie!!! They treated us like they did their regulars and it was just amazing!!! Definitely stopping by if we're ever in town again.

Good Country Breakfast served all day! Takes a little long to get the food to your table, but you can't rush fresh made food !

I went there on 12/18/21 at 9:30 that morning. Was not greeted so seated myself. Never saw an actual waitress til i got up to walk out 17 minutes later when she walked in to take order of someone who had just walked in. I will never go back and will never recommend for anyone to go there either

Good service. We ordered breakfast and it tasted fine but,it was cold. There was about a 20 min. wait which was fine, it's not a fast food cafe. The food would have been much better hot. Restroom was average as far as cleanliness. It could have used a freshening up.

This is a great place to have breakfast on the weekend as I work during the week. The food is very good, service is wonderful, staff and patrons are very nice. I've been coming here for several years in the whole menu is good everything is good. There's no use telling you what I ordered because I've ordered everything at one time or another. Whatever you desire from the menu, order it, it will be good.

New owners, how do you feel about your employees not taking orders on the weekends and actually telling the customers they simply don't take orders.

**Gave them yet another chance today. 2 hours and they had phone off the whole time. Google, give us zero star option.
