Stopped off in Huntington Beach, driving from El Segundo back to San Diego. My kids needed a break from being in the car and the hubs and I needed a coffee! Stumbled along this cute little cafe which was allocated in Huntington Village. This area mimics an old German village and there were stores and eateries throughout the Village. The cashier at the Coffee Tale was kind and very customer service oriented; she even had on a Morrissey shirt so I knew that I would like this place . We had two delish lattes and ordered croissants, chocolate macaroons and homemade baklava! Great price, great location and we will definitely be back!☕️

Reminds me of Europe. They even had byrek. Loved it.

NOT COVID SAFE!! I’ve been in twice and both times the cafe was full of customers not wearing masks and the baristas have theirs off until a customer comes up to the counter.

Bad mochas as well - one of the times I got an iced mocha and they are just milk and coffee with a squirt of chocolate on the inside of the cup so you only get one or two sips of chocolate. This cafe would be great if they would follow safety guidelines and learn how to make a proper mocha! Not going in again for safety reasons

Really chill space to do some work, study or read during the weekdays. Weekends would be a bit busier.

The decor here is also very inviting, ranging from group tables, tables for 2, to Mediterranean type couches.

Plenty of outlets around, and you can still access WiFi on the outside tables because I took a conference call there so as not to disturb the peace inside.

They have Turkish coffee, but since I'm a tea gal, I like getting their Ginger Ginseng loose leaf where they steep it for you.

Cute little cafe with plenty of space to work on the computer. The owner is awesome and makes all his food fresh

We love The Coffee Tale. It is a really nice spot for coffee.

This is a nice little coffee place in the middle of Old World. They brew good coffee and teas with a small selection of pastries. Be aware that often there is only one person on staff so it may take some time for you to get your drink order and the selection of food, though good, is limited.

French press is not my favorite ,but Baklava is delicious !

The coffee was great, the service was not. My daughter have been wanting to take me here for a while and we finally made it on Sunday around 7:20pm. When ordering, the barista asked me if she could give me a coffee cup to go because she was closing soon, meaning in 40 minutes. I felt unwelcome, and descriminated. We were there for the whole experience and part of that experience was to drink our coffee in the shop. I think we got there with plenty of time to drink our coffee and not be overstaying after closing time. Basically she told us, we close in 40 minutes and eventhough the coffee shop is full of customers you are not welcome to stay here . That was upsetting, but I didn't say anything because I didn't want to argue with the barista in front of my daughter who was so exited to take me here. 40 minutes is not a " we are closing soon time!"

Love this place! I had the coconut creme tea with a little almond milk, and it was a deliciously guilt-free treat. Great background music, peaceful atmosphere, adorable location, clean interior ... Pretty much everything you'd want in a "get-your-work-done" or "have-a-first-date" spot.
