We had the Skillet and were pretty disappointed. It was basically pan fried potato chunks with some over cooked pork, greens, and a single over-easy egg. It was dry and bland. There was no salt/pepper or other spices/sauces to choose from (I ended up asking for salt and pepper and they gave me a small amount in a container). They definitely seem to be popular for their coffee. They have kombucha on tap and that was pretty good.

Love this place! I especially love the ambiance and the outdoor seating area that allows you to sit in the sun and drink your coffee :) . Baristas are super nice! I ordered a matcha latte and an avocado toast -- both were excellent. Was very happy with the amount of avocado on my toast! Nice that they give a discount for bringing your own mug :) . I'll definitely be returning!

Ordered 16 Oz. Caramel latte ready to drink and received 12 oz that was almost too hot to hold. The cashier said she entered it as 16, but it charged me as 12 oz., and the batista said the order came to her as 12 oz. (?) Got the impression the cashier wasn't really paying attention and was rationalized the issue. They were kind enough to remake it when I only asked to add some cold milk. Unworthy forgot the caramel in the remake. Aside from that, the kitchen was also closed unexpectedly, so we couldn't order good after paying for parking nearby... Bummer situation. The Chai we also ordered wasn't great and we tossed both drinks in the trash. $14+ including 18% automatic gratuity charged by the establishment. I disagree with automated gratuity, and I submit this experience as the reason why.

I ordered a double espresso macchiato. They use the wrong bean for espressos… very bitter after taste. I also ordered an avacado toast with a fried egg. The order took 20min and they never called my name. When I inquired about the order, they found it in the back, but they had made it with scrambled eggs and the bread was cold. Then they took it back and brought me back and over cooked fried egg I returned it and requested a refund for both. I came here due to the great reviews, but was disappointed with the quality and service. I won’t be coming back. For way better coffee & bfast, go to Jour de Fête around the corner.

Ordered the “charcoal infused orange juice” supposedly with healthy nutrients. Tasted like watered down juice & sensed/felt nothing. The price outrageous: $15.40. Hello?

The coffee here is okay. Food is okay. I was visiting from LA and went to get a quick cup of coffee and a snack. Seating is very limited. Have a limited food menu. If you can find a table a good place to just hang out.

Pepper made my mocha espresso. It was good. Recommend.

I'm not one to leave bad reviews but I had such a bad experience that I feel obligated to. This is my first time visiting Aspen and I wanted to try some local coffee. I got my coffee and avocado toast (which was ok but not worth the amount I spent) and sat down at a table. Not 5 minutes later the owner walked in and told another customer and I that we would need to move. She then proceeded to grab my plate and coffee cup, which still had coffee in it, and threw it all away. I was in awe by how rude she was. I will not be returning.

I'm coffee lover, and the coffee at locals is arguably the best in Aspen. But above that, what truly makes this boutique shop remarkable, is the amazingly friendly service. The team behind the counter makes my day, every day, especially the register - I think his name is Dom? Every day he's incredibly friendly, takes such an interest in me, smiles with his eyes, and is just awesome. Definitely recommended.

What a gem of a spot! I was in Aspen for almost a week for a trip that included a lot of reading and writing. I went into Local everyday and had at least two macadamia nut cappuccinos and a snack. The coffee is spot on, the food is really good, and in addition to the super cool and comfortable atmosphere, they also happen to have the widest selection of milk options in Aspen which is a nice touch. The staff is super friendly and clearly really passionate about their food and coffee - just like me. Loved it and highly recommend to make Local a staple of your stay in Aspen.
