love this place! it's one of my favorites when we visit Louisiana. Their staff is always super nice & the spicy shrimp poboy is awesome!! Would also recommend their sweet potato fries. It's kind of open air, so expect Louisiana weather (obviously). def will go back.

The food was very good (catfish poboy) the staff was nice and helpful, and the prices were ok too.
It's a very nice old restaurant.

i had the sausage & chicken gumbo, with 1/2 BLT. THE first blow of gumbo had lumps of rice that was still cold, lots of gumbo was on the outside of the blow that appears to be the same blow use to warm it up in the microwave, my blt had 11/2 piece of bacon 🥓 With lots of lettuce and guacamole & my toast was very hard. Sorry ,but i didn't enjoy that at all i order extra pickers to fill me up.

Put simply: overpriced, poorly seasoned, and not worth the time. The atmosphere is nice, and if you're walking around town I can see why you'd want to stop here. But our orders were barely seasoned despite the menu description labeling them as spicy and the service was too slow.

It was ok. We got the shrimp salad in a tomato, but it was very mayonnaise-y and the tomato wasn't ripe so we couldn't eat it. The fried chicken was pretty good, however, and the service was very good, excellent I'd say.

Just OK. I had high expectations from the reviews but I have to say, I wasn’t impressed. I went to St Francisville with three friends for a weekend stay. So, I researched local restaurants and activities. This place was highly rated so we stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon around 2:00 PM. I ordered half of a 12” pizza with everything on it (4 slices), a side salad and a Diet Coke. The other ladies ordered soup, which was shrimp and some kind of bean, a chicken sandwich, and a half pepperoni pizza. When the food arrived my pizza wasn’t hot and the cheese wasn’t fully melted. I didn’t enjoy it and I don’t think I would have liked it even if it had been cooked properly. I did enjoy the salad but it’s hard to screw up lettuce and dressing. The others in my party had the same overall opinion of their entree’s. The staff was super friendly and professional. I’m hoping that we just caught the restaurant on an off day and time because the reviews describe it as a local favorite & must visit. We plan to return for the Angola Rodeo but sadly, I doubt we will visit the Magnolia Cafe again.

Food was over priced, in my opinion.
Was seated with menu's, no silverware or napkins. Had to flag down server multiple times for drink refills and utensils and napkins.
Service was poor, I felt like I was bothering him.
I won't be returning any time soon..
