Blue Moon Café

Have came in twice it was mediocre. Once got the breakfast burrito with “homemade salsa” I grew up on the boarder I know my burritos. No serano / jalapeño / chorizo option. Store bought tortilla. Canned beans. Very bland salsa taste like pace, no spice at all in the whole meal. Other time had the Philly Cheese Seak it was pretty good. However for $15.5 with a Pepsi I would have expected the full sandwich. I was served half of the sandwich at full price. Like they cut the roll in half. I would have paid $20 for a full sandwich.

This place had delicious food!! Try the veggie bake or the pancakes. Both were delicious, the views of the harbor are fantastic and the staff was so friendly.

The blueberry pancakes are yummy! Great service - they were able to take 8 of us with little notice. Highly recommend!

Stopped in for an early lunch on 6/17/21 around 11:30. We were told the wait would be about 20 minutes due to a switch from breakfast to lunch...ok.. I ordered the lobster plate that was described as a tomato with a scoop of lobster inside it. After half an hour, I got a lovely platter with a small scoop of lobster plopped ON top of a tomato. Why? because the tomato could barely be cut, it was rock hard. NOT as described and barely edible. When my husband went to talk to someone about it, he was told 'we don't set the prices'... NOT a good response. I could have sent it back or asked for my money back but because of the pandemic, we had timed tickets for 12:30 for the botanical gardens and it was around 12:20. So yes I ate it, I really had no choice and it was not that great. I have no idea how much it cost, the menu listed it as ''market value' and since it was our anniversary my husband did not pass along the price to me. But my recommendation is to NOT order this item. This is totally a waste of money.

Awesome blueberry pancakes, so fluffy and a mile high. Real maple syrup on top... If you're in Boothbay, it's definitely worth a visit.

We were looking for a spot to grab a sandwich for lunch and found this cute cafe. You place your order up at the counter and you can grab a seat on the covered back deck with a direct water view. I ordered the Haddock Rueben and my husband got the Swiss Mushroom Burger. Both were excellent and came with chips, pickles and cole slaw. I'm not sure why I'm reading reviews here complaining about the prices as our entire meal for both of us was $22 and we were stuffed. We actually weren't even hungry by dinnertime. The staff was friendly and we got our food quickly. Will definitely go back next time we're up that way.

One of the best things about this place was the girl at the counter. She was super welcoming, helpful, and efficient. The cafe is small and casual, offering a variety of fairly priced options. They had stopped serving breakfast, so our group opted for lobster rolls and a few other sandwiches (all yummy). The lobster was hand-pulled on site. There is a nice water view from the porch area, and there is additional seating on the back side along the street. An added bonus - they are dog friendly! I would definitely recommend Blue Moon Cafe.

Looking for some real wholesome cooking and found just that at Blue Cafe. It was really busy and the owner Fred made us feel comfortable stating several tables would be available shortly. I loved the corned beef hash and ham steaks. The blueberry pancake was probably the best I’ve ever had. My wife Becky and I will make this our go to place from now on. Fred was like my friend back home making us feel really good. Thanks for everything Fred and we’ll see you in less than an hour from now.

My wife said she had the best blueberry muffin ever here. My omelet was also delicious. Great start to the day.

I had a nice breakfast here once with family. It's a nice little cafe on the harbor. The food and service was great.
