Always looking for excellent coffee shops to frequent as I travel around the nation. This cafe was reccomensed to me while I was volunteering at Crystal Mountain Beer and Brats Fest. I have now deviated from Strange Matter (my usual Lansing stop for coffee) and each time I have regretted it.
If aesthetic and ambience are paramount for your daily cup, this place excels. Personally, I love the vibe. Eclectic antique chairs, diverse wood work, raw brick, punk/rock/oldschool hip hop music, and great logo.
The product is currently par at its best (and sometimes falling short) relative to fellow Michigan craft coffee shops, but equally or more expensive. The espresso especially needs work in quality and dialing. The batch brew is solid but expensive 12oz for $3. The other drinks are comparable in price.
In short: Cool place but not one of Michigan's best shops for excellent coffee.

Always a great experience and product. Staff will walk you through whatever is on the menu without making you feel like you are a bother. Now... during the school year (college) it can get a little crowded with the Grad Student 'camping' crowd, but that is really small potatoes when it comes to a coffee shop. Not the best place to make plans to meet someone... space is never a given.

With specialty coffee shops being a dime a dozen in today's city life, Blue Owl Coffee provides a truly unique experience. My favorite quirks of this shop is their cold brew menu (with several vastly different options available) and their cocktail-inspired signature drink menu. Those two aspects alone make Blue Owl a breath of fresh air in a market where great coffee can be found on every corner. Next time you're in Lansing, check out Blue Owl!

Very cool place -- consistent with the feel of Reo Town (quaint, artsy, industrial) and steps up the coffee game of Lansing/East Lansing. The coffee cocktails are refreshing and novel. Sufficient seating, lighting, outlets, and soft tunes to make this place good for writing/working, and I hear they'll be having live music some evening. Highly recommend!

Relax, comfortable atmosphere. Coffees are always delicious, although a little pricey. It's a great place to decompress.

We stopped in for a quick drink between sets at the Robin Theatre. The atmosphere was inviting. Next time, I would like to sit and read a book or play a game here. I am intrigued by the coffee cocktail menu and draft coffee options.

I ordered a mocha and it was chocolate coffee deliciousness. The service was great, fast, and easy. I also had a raspberry iced tea near the end of my visit and it couldn't be anymore refreshing!

Definitely a neat place. My boyfriend really liked his bourbon cocktail. I got a tea drink that wasn’t very good... their menu isn’t online so I have no idea which one it was, something floral. It also didn’t come with ice so that was kind of weird. I’ll probably just stick to coffee next time.

Cute little shop. Their coffee is really good. They have granola bars and a few baked goods, as well as some fancy looking chocolate. It was decently busy when I was there (Thursday around lunch). They have cute merch.

This place has an awesome atmosphere and fantastic coffee. A great place for creatives.
