Blue Water Cafe

I liked my fish and chips but it wasn't anything to be blown away by. Prices were a little high but that's the case with everything down here. I wish there hours were a bit better, we could've just came at a bad time but they closed fairly early and we barely got a seat.

We ordered meat loaf, hamburger and hot turkey sandwiches. They we delicious.

The man who seated us was great, and even helped calm down my 2 year old. Everything went downhill from there. The server seemed very unenthusiastic, and I had to ask for water although she saw my empty cup clearly on the table. I ordered over easy eggs, they came out over cooked and appeared to have residue from grill cleaner on them. My girlfriend's biscuits and gravy was way over portioned and bland. Once we paid, we got ready to leave. Before I could even get all my personal belongings on the table, the buss person had squeezed past me and almost knocked me over to start cleaning the table we hadn't even left yet. Very unprofessional. The 2 stars is solely for the guy who seated us, because he was great. Probably won't be stopping by again, and will not recommend.

We had breakfast here while in town and let me tell you, hearty it was! The service was exceptionally quick and attentive. Their kitchen must be managed by a staff of well experienced cooks because they were turning out delicious and well prepped meals to a full house almost as quickly as taking your order! If you are a breakfast person, you'll find both light and heavy choices with good coffee to start your day.

Their food is delicious and service is great! We always go there for breakfast when we visit Grand Marais! 👍

Great place for a diner breakfast. Hashbrowns came out extra crispy and coffee is very good. Service was good and over hearing the old ladies in the booth next to us is priceless.

One of the best breakfast places in grand marais! They are dealing with staff shortages through the pandemic but definitely try to accommodate and are very friendly. Get the root beer float for sure, homemade and great!
