I hesitated coming here for years since it's not truly local (it's STL) - now, it's my go-to. Best coffee in town (okay tied with Fretboard, if you don't mind the wait there...), esp if you can't stand the roasted til its bitter/burnt coffee most places serve. Kaldi's knows how to coax the best flavor from the bean. Service is generally great and very friendly. They have heavy cream!! Not just half-n-half. They do half-caff for me with zero judgment, haha. Cappuccinos, Gibraltars, etc are amazing and reasonably priced. Also their turkisk latte and house mocha are yummy, not cloyingly sweet, if you want more of a treat. I agree, bathrooms could use a lot of TLC. And there are no outlets in the booths, they are sparsely located. It's also totally packed on weekends, I wish they'd open up a larger space or re-figure their floor plan. But otherwise, I highly recommend!

Don't listen to the hipsters who say it used to be so much cooler, this place is the real deal and the answer to the question "Why aren't there any (busy) Starbucks downtown?". It's because the coffee is delicious, the food way above and beyond traditional coffee house stuff, and the staff friendly and helpful instead of dead eyed and drained of the will to live. Truly unique flavors are available so strap on a helmet and get out of your comfort zone and have a chance to try something you might love like I did. If you are a coffee lover who already owns a pith helmet this is the place for you.

I love Kaldi's, they have the best coffee and homemade scones. Every time I come back to this state I have to stop. Update: this few times we have been here the coffee and tea have been terrible. The new kids that work here doesn't know how to make anything and the scone was dry. I'm going somewhere else from now on. I will still be going to Kaldi's in Kansas City at the Country Club Plaza.

They were unprepared for the brunch rush on a busy weekend in Columbia so this rating probably isnt the most fair. But they sidnt have any eggs and forgot to make one of our party members food so we had to wait an extra 10 minutes for their order. Thier coffee was fair but too expensive for what it was. I would rather go to a small local coffee place to pay the same costs and get better coffee.

A great place to chill or meet someone. This has a great coffeehouse vibe with ample seating (unlike some coffee shops). While a bit pricy, their white hot chocolate is one of my favorite things on a cold day!

The Turkish latte is one of the best coffees you'll ever have, smooth, strong, wonderful flavor, and made by very talented baristas. The only thing that could make it better, would be for them to make it a permanent menu selection, instead of only being around for a couple months tops.

Very pricey for ok coffee. The staff is not pleasant or polite. They act as if their job is a hassle which explains the ten minute wait for a simple latte. Lakota Coffee right across the street is so much better.

Horrible place. Rudest customer service I've EVER experienced. (I have been to many different coffee houses across the country) The coffee was mediocre. Ridiculous, snooty staff and patrons for such a hole in the wall. Might be a "cool" place for college kids who want to feel uppity. Definitely will stick with places that actually appreciate my patronage.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I have a coffee problem, and one of the things that worried me the most, when my family and I moved from NYC, is the fear of being forced to drink subpar, roasted until it's black, coffee. I definitely wasted time worrying. For all of you that have sophisticated coffee expectations, you will not be disappointed with Kaldis . And, if part of your decision on where to shop is contingent on the customer service in said place, you will be happy as a lark when the barista asks you how your day is going and then listens, and has a relevant response to your answer. The staff remembers the names of the regular customers, and, unless they are all winning academy awards this year, are genuinely happy to see you when you come in. Did I mention that they have really good coffee?

I've tried to force myself to enjoy Kaldi's. However, something just keeps me out. Their coffee is okay, foods okay, and atmosphere is the best thing going. Seating is cramped though. Service has been up and down. Third star is for longevity of operation.
