Maid-Rite

Tasted like sawdust in bbq sauce. About comparable to cheap summer camp food. Low price, but you can get better quality at most other fast food places. Also, very limited menu options

Great food, very friendly. The loose meat burger was delicious and different. Thankfully the nice woman at the window warned me about the loose meat so I wouldn't try to eat it while driving. 😁

Well this little place is know to older generation and some of the young. Its a little whole in the wall place that is known for its ground beef burgers or sandwiches.

Now if you know people the went to high school in Rolla Missouri or college then they might say its the best thing ever. But... it not bad. Nothing to write home to mom about.

What I know is that this small town didn't have much 15 years ago or more so I see why this kids thatcare older now say its sooo good.

So everything is fried pretty much, the mushrooms, fries, onion rings, chicken strips, and fried chicken are very good. They still have 2 old school style sodas left.

All in all its a great place to stop in and experience few time you might need to try something different or go on a road trip. Take a trip and have a bite!

I personally don't like the burgers, but I love the fries! My husband and father LIVE for these burgers, and they are a classic staple for this town. Not for me personally, but I love the atmosphere every time I'm there

It's a must for my family to eat at maid rite Everytime we are in Rolla.
We've done this for years. But I will say they are still very good but they used to be better they changed a couple years ago. But still worth the visit.

2nd visit. Tried the Tenderloin sandwich. It was Great!! Fries were fresh and hot, and the Golden Cream soda topped it all off. Definitely will return..

Hadn't been here in years and was traveling through the area recently, so we were excited to have the chance to eat here & stopped in for a maid rite. I was rather disappointed to find the tasty sandwich I remember, had been replaced by a very bland, unimpressive copy of the one I loved so much throughout my childhood. 😕

This one I'll revisit. I got the fish sandwich and fries, my co-luncher got the catfish and onion rings. We both thought the food was OK, but nothing great. Then, when I told my wife where we ate lunch, she exclaimed, "Oh, did you get the burger?!" I didn't get the burger. Apparently they are best knows for that. Try and try again, I guess. I'll be back.

Maid-Rite makes a great sandwich. It's like, sloppy joe without the sloppy!!
Their as fat free as can be for a burger. And the fries are used to mop up the meat crumbles. Swirl your fry in ketchup and dob the hamburger bits up. Nothing wasted!!!

Disappointing.

Wanted to try something different from a burger joint. Read the Maid-Rite website that talks about healthy options and how the butcher found a secret. Lend of meat and spices...

1. This store only offers a portion of the online menu. The greasy, fried portion. Cole slaw and FRIED pickles are the only veggies.

2. Had the classic maid-rite sandwich. It was unseasoned and flavorless. Another reviewer called it "sawdust.". I think he was insulting sawdust. I think they chose the least flavored part of the cows and froze the meat for an extended period of time to suck all taste from it. Then steamed it, drained it, and wiped it with cheesecloth to extract any lasted taste it had. And put it in a plain white bun.

3. Fried pickles shined and looked wet with grease.

4. My son's hot dog looked like the worst example of a boiled hot dog to ever exist. A gas station roller hotdog would be gourmet compared with this. Also, on a plain white tasteless bun.

Bad choice. Hope the Maid-Rite company comes and sees this place and realizes it is not what they intended. Or if they did, shame on them too.

Culinary catastrophe!
