We went to the Bread alone place in Woodstock first. We had a fantastic time there. Large selection, friendly people, excellent food. We then went to this place. Much different experience. The girls at the counter were extremely rude and I got the feeling they were put off. Next, when asked if I needed help. I placed my order and then the girl behind the counter began to prepare SOMEONE ELSE’S food. It was very weird. Next, our sandwiches were covered in some strange sauce that we didn’t ask for. Food was just ok. I encourage you to visit the Bread Alone in Woodstock for a much better experience.

Quaint, cute roadside bakery with fresh goodness all along the counter. Bet you can’t buy just one thing! Cookies, donuts, breads, coffee... all excellent. Buy a treat for a friend and make their day! Staff is friendly and helpful! PS the flat bread as you walk in is not a gigantic chocolate crinkle cookie. But that would be a wonderful, huge cookie!

You've undoubtedly bought their bread, but have you visited the place where it's made? It took me years of driving past to finally answer yes to that question, and I'm so happy I did. You can of course buy freshly baked loaves there, and a pretty wide selection of other sweet baked goods that are equally delicious, but they also have a great menu of food to eat right there. The seating area is modest but clean, and even though you can see into the actual bakery, don't expect a tourist-oriented experience.

This place kind of blew my mind! The breads are so good, I wanted to stay there all day and bathe in that amazing warm bready aroma! Being originally from France, I’ve been known to be quite picky about bread. A good bread to me is, well, kind of orgasmic...Yes, I really love bread when it’s well made. The only reason I’m giving this place a 4/5 is because their service kinda sucked. The bakery in Rhinebeck had an attitude that left me perplexed and the bakery in Boyceville “misplaced” our order — after 45 minutes waiting — we asked about our breakfast, the person who took our order coldly answered “well, you just made your order, right?”.. uh nope, the five of us have been seating here for well over 45 minutes. The place was not busy at all and after repeating our order to them, they finally brought our brunch. That being said, the coffee was pretty good and the food was absolutely delicious!! So, if you don’t mind a little attitude from the staff, Bread Alone is awesome. (While we were waiting, I did get a sausage baguette that we demolished as we waited :)

Excellent Bakery and Restaurant with a variety of Home baked breads and pastries , Keisha's and various well prepared small meals . There's a variety of soups ,Etc all homemade daily. They make a variety of sandwiches well prepared and tasty tasty! It is a smallish place but there are about 10 tables in doors and another five outside on a patio some of the tables have umbrellas if the Sun is bright. Excellent place to dine for breakfast or a quick lunch. Not cheap but it won't break the bank! I have recently visited in the past two weeks and I was wowed with some of the new baked goods prepared in the boyceville store, sausage baguettes as well as Olive ones, and a variety of small pies that were to die for. Sharon the owner happened to be there that morning and I complimented her on the continued excellent and deliciousness of the food.
