I'd been searching for a local bakery for Chinese-style pastries and breads for literally over a year and had just about given up hope when I discovered that Sweet Dreams had opened up shop in Franklin! The shop is very well-appointed and sells a few varieties of Chinese baked goods ("pineapple" buns with sweet custard / 菠蘿包, savory meat-and-scallion bread, taro bread, pastries with mooncake-style sweet bean fillings, and egg tarts / 蛋撻), as well as a wide selection of 4" and 9" (by pre-order) Southern-style pies and bubble tea. We tried a little of everything - the Chinese pastries/buns are just like the ones I grew up with (from Boston's Chinatown), the pecan pie was scrumptious and measures up to my favorite area pie shops, and the bubble tea was solid with customizable toppings and sweetness levels. The owners are super nice and welcoming, and they've curated a unique style of decor that melds together a modern Southern aesthetic (lots of wood and a sliding barn door) and Asian design elements. My wife and I will definitely be back! My only selfish wish is that their business grows to the point where they can open a second branch in Nashville proper so we can drop my more often!

Great bakery! I got a Chinese style egg tart and the owner suggested I sprinkle some cinnamon on it. It was delicious! They also have pies, breads and “fluffy” Japanese style cheesecake (which I will be back for!).

I'm from out of town and is a boba tea fanatic. I was quite impressed that it was good.I hate due to COVID we couldn't go inside. I wanted to try some bakery, I eat with my eyes so I have to see the items. I'll definitely stop by again if I'm ever in the area.

A cozy atmosphere. It seems to be family owned with very considerate attention to the customer. Everyone smiled at you and the tea was served quickly with great flavor. I recommend the chocolate milk tea with boba

Good spot for snacks and bubble tea! A delicious mix of Southern and Asian pies and pastries, and friendly folks running the show. The egg tarts are ridiculous (that's really really good)!

Yummy egg tarts.
My daughter loved the Boba teas. She bought three for family.

Just average drinks and perhaps the minimum level of acceptable customer service. The staff seems super paranoid about Covid and only operate through a window and self made (albeit decently) speaker and mic. They don't accept cash, which I assume is due to the possibility of Covid being on the cash. Then they very briefly open the window to take your card for payment while wearing disposable clear gloves, and to hand off your drinks, then quickly close it as if the customers might violently spew disease at them at any moment. I get being cautious, but this feels way over the top, especially considering the latest new case data in TN.

I really enjoyed the treats. I'm not a bubble tea fan but the family said they did a great job on the tea. I like the pies and tarts. Worth a stop by if you are in the area.

The boba are just right, which is hard to find, especially in this part of the country. There is no Thai Tea which I think is a boba staple. There is also no Vietnamese Coffee, either. Less of a staple but still my favorite boba drink. The coffee milk tea that they do have is pretty good but could be stronger. I look forward to trying this place again.
