Initially, my family and I were going to have breakfast about 20 minutes away from this place but the wait was 1.5 hours long and I’m so glad because it brought us here.
We were seated quickly, the staff was the friendliest bunch I think I’ve encountered in my time living in VA (5 years) and the FOOD! I had the hangover platter, my husband had the shrimp and grits, and our daughter had the breakfast burrito. All 5 stars. Definitely get the smash potatoes-they are seasoned perfectly.
To top it off our server brought us a little sampling of their brisket (we’ll be back for that soon), cheese grits, chicken salad (my daughter was obsessed with that) and smashed potatoes.
Parking can be a little tricky but all in all so pleased with our experience that we will drive from Suffolk again and again for this place. Thanks for the great service!

Limited Easter menu this weekend but food was absolutely delicious. First visit here...will definitely be back when I'm in the area again. Ordered the 185 plate and a peach mimosa...best breakfast I've had in years!! The smash browns are just as good as I make at home and that's saying a lot!!!

We LOVE 185. We moved from the area in September, but every time we come back, 185 is the first and last stop we make. We always took guests to 185 when we had visitors, and they ALWAYS asked to come back. When we told people we were moving, their first response was “Away from 185?!”

We always get the brisket omelet, S.O.S. Biscuit, and the shrimp and grits. The sausage gravy is to die for. Do yourself a favor and get the smashbrowns and the grits. Lastly, get the cookies! Order them as soon as you get there! The s’mores and the peanut butter cup ones were our favorite. People asked us to freeze them for them because they were that good.

This restaurant is amazing from every detail. The grits are to die for along with the Smokehouse Burger. Our server, Mary, was the absolute sweetest and so great to talk with! The owner even came out to talk to us. I 10/10 recommended this cute little restaurant!

The food here is delicious! We popped in on a Saturday morning and they were busy. Our food still came out in a timely manner though. All the employees are polite and attentive. We ordered the sausage omelette, the 185, and the S.O.S and all three were AMAZING. Will definitely stop by again!

This place has the best breakfast, and not to mention great customer service!!! They make you feel at home and are super friendly! Their omelettes are to die for!!! Hands down the best omelette I have EVER had! Everything we got was DELICIOUS! They were a busy little place, but we still got our food in a timely fashion. They definitely know what they are doing here. If you are looking for a new breakfast/brunch spot, look no further...185 is where it is at!!!

Wow! This place is delectable! From the Aesthetics to the food, everything was just wonderful. We came here midday with a decent size group with no wait and great service. We started with the charcuterie board that blew us away. They have a homemade pimento cheese that was to die for. We got the hangover, shrimp and grits, the SOS, the smokehouse burger, and the chicken salad sandwich with each being better than the other. Highly recommend and guarantee you'll leave here happy. Will be coming back for more!

All 3 waitresses who worked today are awesome!!!! They had amazing team effort, made me laugh and all helped out so well together. Had an amazing experience and will be coming back because of their hospitality p.s the Shrimp and Grits is to die for!!!
