My friend and I frequent FOOD often after our Saturday morning walks. We have always been treated kindly. Today was such an exception, to the point of where I really haven’t been able to shake it off and I have to say something.
We arrived shortly after it opened. We are quite aware of the signs posted on the doors stating that a host will be with you, please wait outside ( or something to that affect), but the sun and temperature were so hot, as were we, who would have thought it mattered considering the conditions. We walked in and were greeted with the following, “hello, didn’t you read the signs?” Unbelievable to say the least. We turned to leave and then were told in an incredibly curt way that someone will seat you in minute, you can stay inside. I was appalled. My friend and I did exchange words between ourselves about the treatment we just received and I’m sure the gentleman in question knew it. So, I guess we should not have been surprised at what we experienced next. We were treated so poorly by every single staff member who came to our table with the exception of one, and unfortunately, I don’t know her name.
What the hell is wrong with people today? As much as I love the food at FOOD, I will never step foot in this establishment again.

Great tofu scramble, vegan-style! Busy and bustling, and good coffee. Will be visiting again!

1st time there, I thought my turkey sandwich was amazing. I wish I lived closer to it so I could frequent it more often.

Average quality food. Big portions just like roaches that are walking around the restaurant.

Outstanding place to meet friends or go as a couple for a casual setting. We were a small group and sat outside. Tables were a nice distance apart from one another which made all of us feel safe because of Covid. But also so we could hear each other talk. Each dish was made with fresh ingredients and delicious. The staff were attentive and courteous.

Food never disappoints! I have been a loyal customer for years. I love their breakfast menu. The avocado toast with overeasy egg, breakfast burritos and morning sandwich are just a few of my favorites. Don't miss out on the homemade brisket when available!

Food seems like a great place to eat but my experience was meh. I'll be again and leave a more in depth review.

I've been coming to this restaurant since the opening, and I have to say that the management and attitude here has gotten really bad lately. The customer service with management and servers need to improve dramatically!

Covid restrictions are over , and for them to have people waiting outside in the hot sun is ridiculous! This restaurant has enough room to fit anybody inside there without having to wait outside. They have already taken over the side street side walk as a outdoor patio so there is not any reason why they can't accommodate people properly . anybody has to be treated poorly by this establishment.

Dependable West LA breakfast, lunch, brunch destination, let down slightly by a prickly and rather blunt member of staff who seemed unfamiliar with the nuances of polite society.
