Philz Coffee

I must say I’ve never waited so long for a coffee in my life but boy it was worth every second!
Spectacular flavours and probably one of the best coffees I’ve ever had. Also the staff are very pleasant.
The brand needs to go global!

Got the philtered soul with cream and sugar and it was so good. The almond croissant was also so big and delicious, I saved half for later! I love this Philz for relaxing and reading, there was a lot of seating but started to get crowded later on Saturday morning.

Must try the Mint Mojito. You can taste the fresh flavor of mint, at the same time, you can also can feel the freshness of the coffee with bit of sweetness and bubble in your month. Philz has a specially way to brew and make the coffee to let you tastes the true flavor in the coffee beans while avoid the bitterness or sourness in the beans. So far I still can't find the same flavor either in pour over, espresso or brew coffee. Philz is so unique.

Philz will not disappoint a coffee aficionado. The coffee comes hand crafted by your own personal barista. The caffeine content is somewhat variable, but it's definitely on the higher end of the spectrum. Good stuff! The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable about the products they sell.

I was in yesterday morning with a friend and had the worst experience in all my time going to Philz. The girl who took my order was really nice but sadly that is where the good service ended. We ordered two large coffees (no food) and spent the next 20 mins watching all the people who ordered after us receive their drinks before us. Once my name was finally called only one of my drinks was done and the other still being made. Both drinks were NOT prepared to specifications, which I could've looked passed but the drinks were also extremely watered down. Mine also contained coffee grines making it impossible to enjoy. After waiting for over 20 mins I didn't have time to wait for the batista to prepare our drinks again. I also didn't want to wait in line and ask for a refund when the staff was clearly overwhelmed with customers

They have different style of coffee.
If you are looking for cappuccino or Lattes they don’t have it, even they don’t have to make a mild hot or warm.
It is good for who likes dark coffee only

I'm surprised by their coffee. They offer many options of coffee beans. I had hot Dancing Water coffee with milk and sugar. The coffee was freshly brewed after I placed order. It tasted so unique and I like it.

However, if you don't want your coffee too sweet, remember to tell them don't put that much sugar.

The staffs I met today were really friendly.

The place is cool, but it looks like they need to clean tables and seats more frequently.

Of course I'm willing to have coffee here again.

A great place for coffee with a full service coffee bar. Dark, medium and light roast coffee blends are offered with a description of the blends flavor notes. There are also a few single source options, but the blend I tried was excellent. It may be a good idea to expand the single source options a bit for those who prefer. If you are in the Santa Monica area, it’s definitely worth a stop.

Different concept from your regular starbucks. Here the barista is in the spolight with small details that make them "human" and connects the customer with the barista.
They only serve the drip type of coffee, stronger caffein. Wish they had an expresso version.
The food they offer is good and prepared on the spot.
Seatings are not optimized for the space they have.
Overall atmosphere is cozy

Philz is great if you would like a flavoured hot drink with all the trimmings. If you are an espresso drinker, you may prefer somewhere else
