Very good artisan tea there. I usually get Philz Iced tea with honey or stevia. They ask you to taste your drink to make sure it is perfect. My favorite cookie is the Ginger date chewy cookie. The place is pricey. Eclectic young crowd. Inside and outside seating.

Absolutely the best coffee I've ever had! I highly recommend the ice mint mojito with half the sweetness and half the cream and the iced mocha with vanilla soy. If you're hungry, the avocado toast is amazing! The service is superb also. Everybody is always very friendly! I work in Marina del Rey and Beverly Hills on occasion and anytime I'm near either of them I make a trip to Philz no matter what the traffic is like.

Their coffee is delicious! I only go in the mornings at 8 am or so because the place is slammed in the afternoon. Today, I had the Philharmonic which is always delightful. The Dancing Water is my other favorite. If there's a line, it usually moves fast, so it's usually not a long wait for my coffee.

Best tasting coffee in town, love the Tesora blend and that every cup is made exactly as you want it. The experience isn't always the best though -- you are required to order and pay in separate locations and be called up to order (vs just going to counter when you are next in line) and the staff can be a little snarky if you don't fully understand the process.
I'd get coffee from here most days except it takes an unnecessarily long time to order and you risk being "scolded" by staff. I've tried the app, but it will say a coffee type is sold out when its still available and hard to coordinate so coffee is both ready and still warm when you arrive.

I'm warming up to this trendy place. People are friendly, there are nice places to sit. The coffee was fantastic, the system for obtaining it not so much. I like connecting with the amazing person who makes my excellent cup of coffee (yes, the coffee is very good)....but you have to pay another person with a tablet who forces you to tap TIP or NO TIP to pay for your cup-a. I felt disconnected from the person who MADE me a fantastic cup of coffee by a computer yelling at me about... TIP OR NO TIP? I can tip with the best of them but please don't computer force me to declare TIP OR NO TIP to pay for my cup-a. Thank you.

Patience is key when ordering here
Their tag line clearly states they brew one cup at a time or something to that effect
So there is no rushing anything here
Indoor seats
No patio
Parking available in the street or the public library lot
Lots of coffee options
No blended drinks here

Always a little busy but for good reason! One of our favorite spots!

I actually love this place. The low star is not for the people there. There are great people that's why I'm upset. I've seen many people come and go. It seams to me that this company doesn't do a great job of backing up what it believes. It built it's reputation on being a fun place to have coffee and it does that. It does that because of the employees at the store. Seems to me people who work there keep leaving over how uppper management treats employees. I don't know whole story. But I do know there are some great employees who deserve a little more respect from the upper management. That's just my opinion. They make great coffee here so keep going or try it out if you haven't before. You will see there are plenty of smiling faces and even brighter personalities ready to serve up a great pour over coffee

Very good coffee. Not a coffee place with espresso, latte, etc. Just coffee and tea, hot or iced, cream and sugar as options. There are easily 20 roasts, with many options for light, medium, and dark. You can get cardamom or fresh mint with any coffee or tea. There is food suitable for a meal, but really only good for a quick and lean lunch. Great employees and experience.

You should know, there's always a line at Philz. The beans are ground and the coffee is made fresh using a pour over method. This guarantees the taste but the refreshing part was the wait after your order is placed. It's a communal wait, there's no place to go so you stand together. The unstructured space actual promotes a friendly, we're all anticipating our cup coming out feeling. The group next to me asked what I had ordered and why. When did a conversation that you enjoyed having last happen to you when waiting for coffee?
The menu is all about the coffee, really - you see flavor notes and roasting types hanging above the counter. If subtle taste matters to you over flavor pumps, ice and milk type then you will love Philz too.
At $3, the small was more than enough and packed a hefty caffeine buzz. Pastries were also available.
