Latella Gelato

We really enjoyed the Gelato and Gelato Frappe from Latella! The interior is cute and clean, and its located right before the boardwalk so we could eat our Gelato on the boardwalk, which is a plus!

This place was adorable in the interior and the gelato was soooo good. They had some interesting gelato flavors, and a couple of them were alcohol based. I also loved the variety of coffee options that there were. A special option is to get an affogado, a scoop of gelato with two shots of espresso on top of it. Overall, a great shop that would do well even if it wasn’t a popular beachfront spot.

The best gelato I've ever tasted! There is a huge variety of flavours that surely won't disappoint, all quality-made with good ingredients. Really refreshing after a long day out on the beach.

Great place on the boardwalk. Perfect for gelato after a walk. The dark chocolate was rich and full of cocoa flavor, not too sweet. Raspberry lemonade was tart but sweet. It was delicious and staff was extremely helpful and courteous. We will be back again.

Great ice cream flavours, and espresso drinks too!
The Coconut Cookie ice cream was so rich and tasty, and paired perfectly with an espresso-macchiato.
All the family members were super happy with their ice cream choices!

Very good gellato! Tried the mermaid tail, tirramasu, and strawberry guava. All three flavors were good!

We found this wonderful gem about 3 years ago during a trip to Carolina Beach. Since then, we have traveled from Raleigh on a regular basis just to get their heavenly gelato and sorbetto! From the outstanding customer service, the freshness and imaginative flavors, you will not be disappointed. We started a tradition of coming on Jan. 1 as a treat for my daughter, to celebrate her birthday. On our last visit, the manager (who is sooo nice), told us that we could contact them in advance and they would be able to make a flavor for her. We called a week in advance. I told my daughter to choose 5 flavors from their extensive list, so that they could choose which one to make. Imagine our surprise when we arrived to find that they had made all 5 flavors! We bought a pint of each one! We recommend Latella to all of our family and friends. I wish we lived closer to enjoy even more. Don't miss out, please give this place a try. I dare you not to like it!

Great place. The selection of flavors was amazing. The dietary offerings were solid (maybe a few more sugar free choices), and the customer service was on point. Combined with fair prices, for a beachfront gelato shop, this place is a winner.

So expensive. That's the con. Gelato is fantastic, but the small size is so incredibly small. The cup has an indention- check out the bottom- it's the smallest amount of product possible. Our family of 5 won't be going back often just because of $. It was almost $30 for us to have a couple of cups, 1 shake,1 small cone. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. Great location. A nice splurge once in a while.
