Latella Gelato

Absolutely delicious! We just finished our gelato from Latella and I, for one, am hooked! We were greeted immediately upon entering the store and offered samples of any flavors that caught our interest. I couldn't decide between the Lavender Mint (light, floral, and refreshing) or the Dark Chocolate (imagine chocolate, but turned up to 11) so I had both! The whole experience was very positive: the store was bright and clean, the employees were friendly, helpful, and laid back, and of course the gelato was amazing! We will certainly be back in the future. :)

Awesome flavors. Great view and location. I go at least once a week! Have no idea how they make all their unique flavors so spot on. It's like ice cream, but creamier, and with vegan friendly options if that's your thing, that taste amazing!

What a find!! So glad we drove all the way from Leland to try this place out. I tried the salted caramel and the orange blossom honey. The honey one was my favorite. I'm so happy you're open year round, because we will definitely come again and again, even in dead of winter.

Friendly staff and even better gelato! If you're a chocolate lover then I highly recommend the dark chocolate. If you're looking for something a little fruitier, blackberry lemonade is the way to go. Both the staff and ambiance was welcoming and refreshing. Great place to cool off after being on the beach.

This place was absolutely amazing. The gelato was divine. The 2 young women behind the counter were so very nice. The place was very clean and I appreciated that staff was wearing masks, masks were required to enter, and hand sanitizer was at the front door and by the register. An all around great experience.

My teens had peach gelato and it was amazing. Definitely a great place to get some great dessert.

Delicious deserts!! They have an amazing selection of ice cream and gelatos. Each gelato is decorated and you can get multiple flavors in a single cup (medium). Our family absolutely loved this place, and it’s located on the boardwalk so you can enjoy a walk along the beach, or simply sit in one of the benches to enjoy the view.

They do REQUIRE mask. I walked in today with my child to get ice cream. I was interested because I noticed they had at least one sugar free ice cream and was hoping to find more sugar free options inside. Walked up to the counter, the employee said if I had any questions to let her know. She then proceeded to ask if I had a mask, I replied no and she said I needed to put something on my face and offered me a brown paper napkin out of the dispenser. I let her know we would take our business elsewhere and walked out.

Just wanted to let others who may have a medical reason or those who do not wear masks know beforehand.

Did not have any issues at any other establishment the entire time I was in Wilmington/Carolina Beach area.

Delicious gelatos. The wine infused ones on weekends are absolutely worth checking out. I got the Red Berry with red wine (can't remember if a Cabernet or Merlot), so refreshing and fruity. Husband got Oreo, it was even better! We will be back for sure.

Definitely the best gelato I've ever had. It's incredible and we will definitely be going back next time we are in town. The staff is also super friendly and the place is really clean. Highly recommend if you're a gelato lover like we are!
